Ice flow from tjhe last Ice Age
Delegate Christin Adams presented information about the Blarney Castle – that the original castle was of wood, and as in many cases, what is present now is a progression of construction across time.   The “Blarney Stone” is claimed to be “Jacobs Pillow” from Old Testament times and may have been brought to the castle area by Jeremiah – the Old Testament Prophet.  Right click on the graphic and Open in New Window to visit the web site of Blarney Castle.  Find our on the site why the colloquialism – “That’s a lot of Blarney’ got started.

Delegate Zack Dunn – Killarney and Cork, Ireland: Visitors have been enjoying the Cork area for about 250 years and many of these early travelers visited Killarney in County Kerry and Blarney in County Cork.  The Cork Kerry region of South West Ireland is one of the most attractive holiday areas in Ireland.  The County of Cork shares with Kerry the south-western corner of Ireland. Washed by the warm Gulf Stream and the mild moist south winds, palm trees and bamboo flourish. It is the most favored corner of Ireland: here Spring begins.  Sites of interest in the town of Killarney reflect it's strong religious and educational history. Killarney was a Church foundation from the 5th or 6th Century, house settlement began here from around 1500.

Delegate Dunn’s Question:  What famous castle if located near Cork???
