"Do Your Best"

Greetings and Welcome to Pack 309!!!
This page provides a quick overview of our pack. If you're looking for information such as who we are, where we meet, and what we do, then this is the place for you.
WHO ARE WE?
Pack 309 is one of 30+ Cub Scout packs in the South Brevard District of the Central Florida Council. Composed of approximately 50 energetic boys, dozens of dedicated parents, and a select group of talented leaders, Pack 309 administers a well rounded Scouting program for boys 7-11 years old and their families.  Although our membership is primarily drawn from Spessard Holland, Surfside, and Sea Park Elementary Schools, the Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, and the surrounding communities of Satellite Beach and Patrick Air Force Base (South Housing Area), anyone wishing to join us is welcome.

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?
Located on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River, Satellite Beach is the largest beachside community in southern Brevard County.  Due to it's proximity to Patrick Air Force Base (4 mi), Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (20 mi) and Kennedy Space Center (35 mi), Satellite Beach is home to many military members and space industry workers.  For more information on our community, see the official Satellite Beach homepage.  To view a map of the region click here.

WHO IS OUR SPONSOR?
Every Cub Scout pack is sponsored by a local community group, known as a chartering organization. Pack 309 is proudly sponsored by the United Methodist Church of Satellite Beach.  The pack and the church have been partners for over 33 years and we look forward to many more.

WHEN AND WHERE DO WE MEET?
The pack normally meets from 6:30-7:30 PM on the fourth Thursday of every month (Aug to May) in Fellowship Hall at the Satellite Beach United Methodist Church located at 450 Lee Ave.  For those of you familiar with the area, the back of the church is located directly across the street from Holland Elementary.  If you need directions just click here.  Each den normally meets once a week at a time and place of their choosing.

WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES DO WE DO?
All of our activities are designed to have fun and to achieve the aims of Scouting -- citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.  This is primarily accomplished through each den's program where the boys play games, go on field trips, learn about nature, the community, the use of tools and craft work.  As a pack we participate in activities such as family camping, the annual Blue and Gold Banquet, the Pinewood Derby and the Rain Gutter Regatta. We teach and show community spirit through recycling, participation in beach clean-ups, and the annual Scouting for Food campaign.
