1- Prologue
Hello and welcome to the exciting world of living in Ecuador. This site has been written for gap year volunteers, specifically in Riobamba. However, there is a lot of useful information in here on how to call someonr a cunt in Spanish, advice on places to get pissed, how to behave in a hostel and the like. My name is Paddy and I’ll be your host for this whirlwind tour of what Ecuador has to offer, and how to make the most of it. A couple of my mates will help me along the way with some random ramblings too.
. I wish to God we had a little guide like this to help us out when we arrived here, cos’ as you may have noticed, Lonely Planet is SHITE, hence the name (this was originally a book called "Lonely planet? Shmonely planet!"). So have a good one guys. I was only here for 6 months, so I haven’t been able to write about the whole country, but a lot of the big cities are listed in the "Ecuador" section.. But here’s what I reckon you need to know. Enjoy.
