A willow wand with a twist.  Literally.  Although it is naturally bent, it balances beautifully, and has a triple tip with the main one having an acorn in a copper cage and the others finished with caps of willow bark.

The copper wire spirals deosil around the main body.  At the end of the "hilt" (with its double spiral of willow bark) is a small sterling silver stud.

This is more of a Shaman stick than a wand - measuring 26 inches and quite hefty, made from stripped willow with willow bark and leaf decoration.  There are a total of seven sterling silver studs fitted to the tips (three can be seen in the middle right photo).

The base is capped with a pure copper collar and a cover of willow bark over the end.  Ten inches from the base is fine copper thread decoration and a willow-bark ring used to hold the feathers on their copper ring.

The feathers are crow, hen and gull.

This is a very graphics-intensive page to give you the best "feel" for what the wands are like.
Please allow time for the images to load.
At the moment, all the wands are of the Osier side of the Willow family, though some more are on the way made from Ash, Birch, Rowan, Chestnut and Privet (a member of the Olive family).  If you like Rowan, I'm part way through creating a Shaman stick that will be about four feet long,

I found a piece of goat Willow that someone had trimmed from a tree at a nearby lake, and I'll be making some wands from that as well - it'll be interesting to see how this more rugged tree differs from the slender Osier.

They also have some very nice wands at
