Welcome to the hearth. |
Come in! Have a seat by the hearth while I tell you a bit about myself. I'm based in Cumbria, north west England, and I've been involved in woodwork for some years now. Being of a rustic nature myself, I prefer to be called Dave rather than an online pseudonym such as "Elfwood" =D I turn wood from either renewable resources or any odd branches the gales pull off, or any tree fellings that neighbours donate. I prefer to leave some bark on my pieces, and to leave them unpolished to give them a more natural feel. |

Keep calling back, there's a lot more stuff due to arrive here, including athames runes decorated glassware and more... |
Why not have a look at my Reading Room - I've been lucky enough to find a great new book, "A Field Guide to the Gods" This is a great piece of research on the evolution of Christianity from the earlier Pagan beliefs. |
I include UK post and packing charges in all my prices. Please use my Contact Form to enquire about overseas postage prices, and I'll get back to you with details. |
I also have a simple returns policy:- If you don't like it, return it undamaged for a full refund. |
What else would you like to see on this site? Please to let me know. I'll act on all sensible suggestions. |

Okay - I mentioned earlier that I like to leave the wood un-polished. Suddenly I have changed my mind, let me tell you why. Until a couple of weeks ago, I thought that the only wood polish you could get these days was that paraffin based muck that always smells of lavender. Then, I discovered a REAL beeswax polish, and boy, is this stuff excellent! |
Made by Wheelers in Cheshire, England, their "Furniture Cream" gives a fantastic gleam to even partially smoothed wood. The blurb on the label says "contains no wax substance other than beeswax." They've got a website Wheelers, worth a look, but I don't know if they can sell outside the UK. no.. I'm NOT on commission LOL |
