Hey Bryan, We've crossed paths before (I edit the PATCO Journal, which ran a Fankhauser story a few years ago). I just had a new addition to my family this week and was batting around the idea of getting an encased made to announce the birth. How many manufacturers re out there and how many do you have addresses for? Any recommendations? Ironically, I found your web site by acccessing www.ask.com and typing in the question "Who makes encased coins?" Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rich P.s. This is a fine site you've set up.

Hi Bryan, I found your site very interesting. I am sure that Earl Fankhauser is a distant relative of mine because the name originated in Fankhaus, Trub, Switezerland. Research shows that the name originated in this area in the 1300s.

I asked on the Coin News if any clubs or groups covedred the cents incased into alum. holders and Ken Potter responded and gave me the location of your cite. My initial thoughts on these were "is anyone collecting these and if so who" Jim.

I will be sure to mention encased coins! The latest isssue of our WBCC newsletter contains a nice reference to your home page.
