Forgiveness
Shade the truth
Create a lie
Now you expect forgiveness
And I cannot oblige
I hold no contempt
For what you've done
Yet I cannot forgive and forget
It cannot be undone
I have no regrets
My decision is clear
I never wanted you
So find your life elsewhere
We were never meant to be
You were not worthy of me
I set myself free
Now let me be

Forgiveness bears a price
No apology satisfies the sacrifice
Because the lies one cannot often forget
But to forgive one cannot expect
