Now and Then
I haven't done it lately
But every now and then
I have to stop and wonder
What would have been

I think about that time
So long ago
What we had shared
And what I've come to know

So much time has past
It's hard to believe
For those memories
Are still easy to retrieve

You're no longer in my heart
You left some time ago
And I've moved away
Which you probably know

I know you got married
I'm still looking for a mate
I don't have any children
But it's not too late

So every now and then
When you look at yours
Do you stop to wonder
If there could have been more

What is done is done
It's all in the past
It happened for a reason
Maybe it wouldn't last

Yet I have to stop and wonder
If every now and then
You stop to think
About what would have been
