This health care program is unique in several aspects: Group therapy: All the pregnant mothers are called on a particular day. The exercises will be taught to all the pregnant mothers at the same time. Their performance will be monitored by the members of PCS team. Team approach: There are physical, mental, social and emotional changes during pregnancy. These changes necessitates intervention by many health care professionals who aim at the health of the mother and the baby. The Obstetrician, Physiotherapist, Pediatrician, Nurses and Dietician play an active role in this health care program. Involving partners: This health care program involves partners of the pregnant mothers as well. By involving partners, they will come to know the changes in pregnancy and will help them cope to play a responsible role as a partner as well as father. Follow up: This Health care program not only provides services during pregnancy, it also provides follow up services even after delivery. Provides health care services for both mother and the baby. PCS Forum: The pregnant mothers and the PCS team will be the members of the forum. This forum enables pregnant mothers to share information regarding changes during pregnancy, nutrition during and after pregnancy, immunization of the mother and the baby etc. This health care program will help you in knowing what is happening to you and your growing baby during the weeks ahead.
