Sarah Mac Genus sat in her car. Another unsuccessful audition she thought bitterly. Sarah had been trying to become some one big in the world, but no one liked her. She had tried everything from acting to singing. She had a manager & all she needed was a record company or a movie producer to like her. She had just had an interview with Jive Records, home of some of the biggest music stars around. They had flat out rejected her in a nice way, but she could see the disgust in their eyes. You’re not the kind of voice we are looking for Miss Mac Genus they had said. She took her defeat calmly & asked them if they would give her name & number to someone who would appreciate her voice. They agreed & said that there was a small time business company that was always looking for more talent & only had one person that they produced. She drove home in silence thinking about the interview, audition, & this mystery record company. When she reached her home her best friend Megan was sitting outside. Seeing that her friend didn’t get the deal, Megan planed a girl’s night on the town. That left Sarah an hour to get ready. She walked into her house & checked her messages. Only one message really caught her attention. Miss Mac Genus, this is Howard Dorough from KBNHA Records. The Firm called me and asked if I would allow you to do an interview for the company & since my friends & I are always looking for new talent I was very interested.
