All right get a grip Mac Genus Sarah thought as she finished touching up her makeup. She was getting ready to go inside for her interview with KBNHA Records. When she walked into the door a man stood at the front desk. He was talking to the receptionist about something. When she came in he turned around & approached her.

“Sarah Mac Genus?”
“Yes, that’s me.”
“Hi I’m Howie Dorough.” He said as they shook hands.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Mr. Dorough.”
“Please, call me Howie.”
“If you call me Sarah.”
“All right. Shall we get down to business.”
“Yes.”

Howie led her into a one of the back rooms. He motioned her to sit in a chair on the opposite side of a desk in the room.

“Sarah, Jive sent me your demo & I wanted to talk to you about your talent. Now I want to be as honest as possible, you have the talent, but you don’t have the talent for rap or hip-hop. I am going to make a suggestion to you, but it is only a suggestion. I think it might work, & if you agree, I think you & I can make things work out.”
“Well, what do you suggest.”
“I suggest that you start singing Pop or R&B. It would not hurt you to start trying other things if you know something isn’t turning out.”
“Can I have a chance to think about it?”
“Yes, you can call me at this number.” He said as he handed her a card with the company’s number.
“Thank you Howie. I will think about it.”
