| Kevin left. He was a little angry & confused. Its not like I knew they were engaged. I just knew what A.J told me & what I saw he thought. He walked back to his room & saw Melody sitting on the floor watching cartoons. Kevin felt sorry for what he said. He knew it had taken a lot for Jen to like Howie after what her ex had done to her. She was a little scared of us when we started out, but because of Howie, she opened up & fell in love once again. Besides he thought it’s their lives. I shouldn’t interfere even if I was Melody’s baby-sitter. He told Melody that her mom & Howie were busy & she had to stay with him for a while. Meanwhile… Howie held Jen as she cried in his arms. He attempted to calm her down, but she just didn’t want any comfort. “Howie, why did Kevin have to say those things. I wouldn’t have done anything that would hurt Melody or myself.” “He didn’t understand what we were doing. He knows now so we don’t have to worry about it.” “We do. Everyone in the band & on the road know what we did.” “Unless we deny it.” “That won’t work. They won’t believe us.” “Believe me Jen. Everything will turn out OK.” Howie said as he kissed her. “I believe you, Howie. I believe you.” |
