Chapter 4
After breakfast they all set out for the campsites they were assigned to.  After a long walk Kara & Howie came to the campsite they were going to be working on. Howie carried a heavy latter & Kara dragged a wagon with paint, brushes, & sheets. Howie collapsed on one of the porches.

“Can…we…take…a…break,” He said as he tried to catch his breath.
“Only if you can do the work in five minuets,” Kara answered.
“At…least…let…me…catch…my…breath” he replied.
“All right, all right you can catch your breath & then the real work begins.”

When Howie was done they started mixing the paint. Then they went inside & covered the bedpost with new mattresses. They started to paint the inside of the cabins. Within 15 minutes Howie saw something that he didn’t want to see.

“Kara can you come here for a moment please,” he said in a weird voice
“What,” she said as she walked over & saw a big spider sitting on the inside of the window screen.
“Can you get that,” Howie said as he pointed to the spider.

Kara took her sneaker off & threw it at the window. The spider fell to the floor. She threw her other shoe & crushed it. They left it there & went back to their painting. Both didn’t want to deal with anything like it again.
