Chapter 5
I woke to the sound of birds singing & water crashing onto the shore. I rolled over expecting to find Hannah there next to me, but she was gone. I sat up & looked around. She was no where in sight. I decided to just wait for her return. A few minutes later I saw her walking along the beach with some more fruit & wood in her hand. I started to walk up to her to help her.

“Good morning,” she said.
“Good morning! Need some help.”
“Sure, Thanks.”
“No problem. You gave me a little scare when I found out that you weren’t in the hut.”
“We needed more food & firewood for tonight. A lot of it is wet from last night’s storm so I’m bringing it into the hut to dry out so we can use it in a while.”
“OK, why don’t we go back to the hut & see what kind of supplies we have in the bags you pulled ashore. Maybe we could use them for something.”
“That sounds fine to me. I know I found your bag, my bag, & two other bags in the water when I woke up. I grabbed them & pulled them up the where I put the hut so they wouldn’t go out to sea.”
“Four bags is a good start maybe we’ll see other bags later.”

We looked in Hannah’s bag first. She had mostly clothing, medicine, makeup, & other accessories in her bag. I had practically the same thing in my bag but I also had electronic stuff that was no good. In the other bags we found basically the same items with a few added things for luxury such as hammocks, food that was no good, & electric fans.

“Well I guess we have new beds,” Hannah said trying to lighten the disappointing mood in the air.
“Yeah I guess so.” I replied but in my mind something didn’t feel right.
