Chapter 28
(Howie’s View)
I watched as Christie pulled away. She turned bright red & was trying to hide it.
I had stopped crying & I reached over to her & turned her head to the point where she was looking at me. I starred softly into her eyes. Soon are lips met once again. She climbed over to my seat & straddled my lap. I arms slid around my neck & my arms were wrapped around her waist. She deepened the kiss. I soon heard giggling from behind us. We broke our kiss & looked back to see Kara giggling.

“What’s so funny,” I asked her.
“You were kissing,” She said & continued to giggle.

Christie opened the door & climbed off of me.

“Where are you going,” I asked her.
“I think we should get something to eat before we continue” she said as she went back to open the trunk.
I hopped out & Kara sat in the car. I walked around & helped her bring juice, cereal, fruit, & dog food into the van. We ate in silence. I started to think about the kiss Christie & I had shared. I know it seems weird, but even though I had only known her a few days I felt like she was my soul mate. We cleaned up & continued on our way. Kara fell asleep again & decided to get to know Christie a little better.

“So, how old are you?”
“25, You?”
“31”
“How long have you been in your band,” she asked
“About 11 1/2 years. We have been through a lot together so I guess I can consider them family.”
“You know we could ask them to help us,”
“I don’t know they have families of their own I think it might be a little bit of a bother to them.”

Just then my cell phone rang.
