Chapter 4
When the food was served they ate in silence. Liz looked up at Howie just as he looked away. Was Howie just staring at me she thought in alarm. Her past had been holding her back for a long time, but now as she sat with Howie she wished all of her insecurities would just disappear. Howie was wonderful guy & she felt kind bad for judging him like she did. When they were finished. Liz & Melody went to the restroom. When they came back the saw Howie paying for the meals.

“Howie you didn’t have to pay for the meals.”
“I don’t mind it. Besides I hardly ever get to be nice to people & you did let me sit with you when you didn’t even know who I was.”

“Thank you.”

The three of them said goodbye.
I wish I didn’t let him go, She thought, well I guess I will never find a nice guy again. Liz drove home. When she got there she & her daughter went to bed. As Liz laid in her bed she hoped she would see Howie again sometime this weekend.
One can only hope she thought as she drifted off to sleep.
