| When Liz woke up she saw that it was very nice outside. Melody came into her room begging to go to Virginia Beach. Liz agreed knowing it had been a while since they went & it was starting to get hot outside since it was in the springtime. They got up & got ready to go. When they got to the beach Liz sat on a towel & Melody took off in the water. She started to read a book that she had brought when she heard a familiar voice. “Look out!!” She turned to see a football coming right for her. She caught it. She looked to see five very shocked faces. Two women began laughing in the background. Liz saw that Howie was one of the men standing there. Did I just get lucky or has Howie been stalking me she thought. When she realized what she was thinking she felt like laughing because after last night she had never pictured Howie as that kind of person. Howie ran up to her. “Hi,” he said. “Hi,” she replied. “I’m sorry about that. I was trying to through it to one of my friends & he was pushed out of the way.” “That’s OK. I get plenty of practice from breaking up fights on the football field to know how to catch the ball at the last minute. Believe me, the boys through them at their opponent when they’re angry.” Howie smiled until they heard another voice from behind him. “So D, are you going to introduce us,” a man with short blond hair said. |
