Hazel Kocher picture Hazel Elizabeth Kocher was born on March 17, 2003, at 11:12 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches. The whole family is healthy, happy, and safe at home. We're very happy and proud of our daughter, and of course think she's the prettiest little baby ever. She has lots of dark hair and long eyelashes, just like her daddy.

Little Hazel gave us a bit trouble coming into the world, but after 23+ hours of labor she arrived safe and sound. Her poor little head was turned crooked (asynclitic) and she wasn't going anywhere by herself, but a skilled doctor with a vacuum extractor helped her find her way into the world.

Daddy Pete would like to add that he has never been as proud of anyone as he was of Mommy that day. He's looking forward to making his girls comfortable now that they're back home. Hazel can't wait to meet you all, so we hope to see you in a little while. And Jill wants everyone to know that Pete was an amazing partner through the whole process -- really keeping me going through the tough parts and working with the doctors when I couldn't even remember how to use the English language.
