BOWERS CHILI PEPPER FESTIVAL 2004
Amongst the vast corn fields of eastern Pennsylvania is a growing agricultural phenomenom completely disassociated with its Pennsylvania Dutch heritage.  Borrowing form the local Mexican immigrant population, the lush soil of Berks County is being transformed into fields of chili peppers.  And on the first Saturday after Labor Day the locals celebrate the bountiful chili pepper harvest at the annual Bowers Chili Pepper Festival.  Vendors from throughout the U.S. (and as far away as new Mexico) come to the sleepy little hamlet of Bowers to share their goods to the starving public.
Welcome Chili-Heads! Who wants to shoot fire out their ass?
The enthusiastic crowd.
Even more tacky vendors selling products such as "Ass Blaster", "Ass-teroids", and "Montezuma's Revenge."
No Pennsylvania festival is official without the requisite Funnel Cake stand.
