When an important newsie from Coney Island is beaten to death, the New York newsies fall apart. Spot Conlon has to deal with trouble from Harlem, a girl looking for her brother in Brooklyn, and a little boy who follows him around but refuses to speak. Meanwhile in Manhattan, the boys are puzzled by the ways of Dun, their newest pal who is a strict Catholic and refuses to do some necessary evils to survive in the New York City streets.

Penny, Pixie, Major, and Shaky have built a time machine in the basement. They plan to go to 1899, New York to meet the newsies- but something goes wrong and they end up in 1992, California. To their ultimate surprise they actually meet the actors from The Movie as they are filming at Universal Studios. To be closer to the guys they get small volunteer jobs at the studio, and learn a few things about their favorite newsies.

A group of aliens- Naomi, Ivy, Ian, and Dominic- are in Manhattan! They're trying to hide from Naomi's evil brother Camreon. Naomi is fleeing when she runs into Spot Conlon- literally- and develops a small crush on him...

Aja and her siblings, Wren and Camreon, have travelled to New York to seek their fortunes. On the train they meet Snipeshooter, who suggests work as newsies. Camreon takes Snipes' advice, and Aja and Wren become chimneysweeps. No they do not sing and dance on the roof :) This story was a gift for Aja, but it isn't finished, and isn't likely to be finished.

Mush finds a strange girl sleeping in an alley. As they spend time together, the girl, called Steps, reveals some terrible secrets about her past. Fighting sickness and haunting memories, Steps cherishes every moment she spends with Mush. Meanwhile, Mush tries to convince the other boys and himself that Steps is the real thing, true love. Stumbling, rather unwillingly, unto Snoddy, they are pulled into the newsie lifestyle by some of the Lodging House's craziest boys.

Twix by Tomato
Little background information here, Tomato, or Liz, is totally anti-Newsies and most of all anti-Spot, but she is a friend of Pixie's and a long-time friend of Penny's (Becca). She runs an anti-Newsies site. She means no offense to any newsie freaks or Spot lovers, but her story should probably not be read if you do not have a sense of humor and can't make fun of the movie a little.
Anyway, the story is told in the point of view of Penny and Tomato's other long-time friend Elizabeth, and it is about her, Penny, Pixie's sister Kathryn (or 'Ryn as some of you know her) and of course Tomato. Penny gets made fun of a lot and Kathryn is whiny and Tomato is, of course, the hero. (Tomato makes a VERY good hero. Almost too good.) Enjoy and don't forget to send Tomato some hate mail. She'll probably just post it on her anti-Newsies site, but she loves getting it.
