Solid Works

SolidWorks CAD software, as many have called it, "a Engineer's Dream Come True."

This is a universal joint. I assembled a number of parts to make one universal joint that rotates and mimics the movement of a steering column of a car. SolidWorks provides tools to align the parts so precisely that I could simulate the movement of an actual universl joint by rotating the handle. This feature allows engineers to check for clearances..Any mistakes that you must account for in real construction the software can detect in advance allowing the joint to rotate correctly.,

Twisted Chisel

This project was designed to explore an object with multiple dimensions and planes.  With each plane I placed, the shape of the chisel can be altered in width, size, length, and taper.
