This site is called "Permanent Temporary Insanity" as a reference to the fact that everyone, Cordelia included, seemed to think that the Xander/Cordelia relationship was just a bout of Temporary Insanity on Cordelia's part.  As an X/C shipper, I was kind of hoping that she would have PERMANENT temporary insanity, and thus the name for this site was born.

Episode 3.5, "Homecoming" Cordelia:  "I'm never going to be crowned Homecoming Queen, I'm never going to graduate high school, I'm never going to know if it was real between me and Xander or some temporary insanity that made me think ... I loved him. (starting to cry)  And now I'll never get to tell him." Episode 3.9, "The Wish" Harmony:  "God -- Cordy, when I heard about ... I mean, I just couldn't believe it.  But it was smart -- the "injury" thing?  You take a week off.  Let everybody forget the temporary insanity that was Xander Harris."
