Parent Teacher Conferences My first opportunity to talk to Division three parents about how your children have settled into the routines of their new classes and how they are progressing to date will take place as follows: GRADE 1-7: Oct.27th, Wednesday, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Oct.28th, Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. KINDERGARTEN: Oct.27th, Wednesday, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Oct.28th, Thursday, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. I hope that all Division 4 parents will take time to attend these initial parent teacher conferences. |

Early Dismissal To help accommodate the interviews, students will attend as follows: Grades 1-7 -attend school 9:00 to 2:00 pm on Oct. 27 and 28. Pupils are dismissed at 2:00 pm. Kindergartens -Regular and Lang. Enhancement am classes attend from 9:00 to 10:30 am. -Regular and Lang. Enhancement pm classes attend from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. Each class has 1.5 hours in the morning and enhancement pupils go through the morning. |

Please make sure that to have these tips/ideas handy for future reference: Homework: Let's clarify the homework situations! * The subject students get homework is in Language Arts, in their spelling duotang, Math, Science and Socials. The criteria, expectation sheets are glued in the front of their spelling, math, science, and socials duotangs, for your reference as well as for students to check. On Monday or the first day of the week, school is in session, we have a spelling pretest. This test is done in the spelling duotang. Any word that is misspelled is written five times correctly to practice and to study exactly what part of the word needs more attention etc. Other work sheets for this unit, may include a handwriting page, fill in blanks page, word search page, vocabulary game, or other activity sheet depending (Continued on page four) |
