| During August and September we found our way through a tiny part of a great, very great, country. We have been in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta during a trip we will remember a long time and which made us determined to go back to Canada as soon as possible. On these pages we will show you a few of the pictures we made and tell you a little about why this became such a great holiday. |
| The first week we spent in Ontario. Our plane landed in Toronto, but since it was very hot we were very happy that we went to Niagra Falls where we stayed in a great Guesthouse: Niagra Falls Guesthouse in Johnstreet (URL) It was a great place to stay and we had a great time with lots to see. Peter is not a great one for warm places, but we found out that you can get used to everything:-)) |
| Well of course the most famous thing about this place are the falls, but there are many more things to see. But you will always go back to the falls for at least 2 times a day.. |
| A few of the places we liked in that town are for instance: The botanic gardens, the sculpture garden with all the animals made out of plants and the Floral clock. Believe it or not but there are more than 20.000 plants in this clock and it even runs on time:-) |
| One day we went to Niagra on the Lake, a very nice old town and to the Fort that was close by. All the volunteers marching around, giving musket lessons, cookies being baked etc. made that a real treat and we enjoyed it very much. |
