"Where Paths Meet"
It was several years ago that she found him inthe woods--a tiny lost wolf pup,shivering with fear and hunger.she brought him back to the tipi and cared for him until he grew big enough to be on his own. Once he was grown she knew she must return him to the world of the wolves.
Together, they romped and played and she named him "Runs like the Wind". She told him her secrets and her dreams. But one day when he stood as high as her waist, she remembered her vow. Sadly she took her beloved Brother wolf far into the woods, and rode away.
Runs like the Wind quickly adapted to th ways of the wild and she saw him no more. As the years passed she thought of him and wondered how he was getting along. Then one day, when snow covered the winter woods, he appeared at her side with his mate and six frisky pups!
Joyously, she thanked the spirits for bringing them together. Suddenly she felt thier presence and thier approval, as if they were returning the kindness she had shown so long ago.
