My New Home!

It sure didn't take me to long to get used to my new home, even though I missed my littermates, my mom and dad were pretty nice people! I got to sleep at the foot of their big bed, of course they had to lift me AWAY UP THERE! I got to run outside on sweet smelling green stuff,[it's great for peeing on, I don't get my back paws wet any more]! I guess humans call it grass. The first week in my new home, lots of different people stopped by to see and pet me, they said I was the cutest pup they had ever seen! Kids would come and play with me too, I liked chasing them and taking their toys, then they had to chase me to get them back!

Then one night after supper mom said we were going to a place called Rockwood Park, bow wow was it nice there! There were ducks swimming in a lake, and squirrels running around the park. There were even deer eating apples, people left for them, what a neat park! My dad let me off leash for a little while, to see how I would make out, and he said I did pretty good for a little squirt! By my third time at the park, I knew which path to take, my mom says I'm a fast learner.

I got to meet lots of really nice people, I even have God parents, their names are Judi and Jerry. My God mom helped my parents and my breeder set up the appointment, to see us pups. Judi gave me a nice leather leash with my name on it! My God parents say I am precious, and even said they would puppysit me, if mom and dad want to go out to dinner. What nice people they are! When mom and dad do go out they always take me with them, I think they would be lonesome without me. So I just wait in the van until they are done, they are always happy to see me and sometimes they have a treat for me in the plastic bag they have with them.

One night after supper in October, mom said, "Bailey tonight you start obedience school", now I didn't know what that meant, but I got to sit in mom's seat upfront in the van, cause dad stays home that night. Just me and my mom go, girl's night out! Dad was teasing me and saying, "now Bailey you behave in school tonight, no goofing around!" When we got to school there were all different kinds of dogs and some pups there too. I had to learn to, sit and try to stay still, boy was it hard to do! I was so tired at the end of my lesson, that mom had to carry me to the van. On Friday nights, after mom and dad go out to dinner, mom takes me to a store just for pets! Dogs are allowed to go in there with their parents, as long as they are on a leash and behave themselves. What a nice store, my mom buys me treats for the whole week, and the nice woman gives me a little doggie bag with treats to take home! I think my life is pretty good, don't you?
