Rockwood Park

Hi here I am back again on a new page! Now just when I thought doggie life couldn't get any better, dad had me up the park, and the paths were covered with white, cold, fluffy stuff! My dad told me it was SNOW! Bow wow was it fun to run and play in, even better than grass!

The lake where the ducks had been swimming, was now frozen over, and I could walk on it, without falling in. Dad said, "be careful on the ice, Bailey". Everything looks different at the park these days, the snow, ice and brrr it's cold out, I'm glad I have a nice fur coat to keep me warm.

Max[my best buddy, you can read more about him, on his own page, Titled: My Friend Max] and I have great walks at the park, our dad is retired and he takes us up every morning and usually after supper too! Some days we get to run offleash in the trailer park, it is so much fun to chase Max. Except Max is no fun, he stays right beside my mom and dad, not ME, I try to chase squirrels and mom has to come looking for me, I'm a little bugger, mom says!

We swim in the lake in the summer and run on the ice in the winter, chasing the gulls. It is a beautiful park to walk in, it is our favorite place of all.

Max and I have JOBS to do, life isn't all fun and games for us. We are both Certified Pet Therapy Dogs. We visit the nursing home once a month, and let the residents pet us and spoil us. We have to be on our best behavior, because that is what Therapy dogs DO, bring happiness to the people who don't have pets. We were each given a nice certificate at the nursing homes volunteers awards banquet back in April. It is nice to be able to make people smile, then after our Pet Therapy visits, dad takes us to the park for our morning walk, he never misses taking us! We are pretty lucky dogs, don't you think?

A dog may not be your whole life,
but can certainly make your life whole!
