Then just before Christmas last year, I met someone who would be my best buddy! His name was Max, a black lab. My owners daughter Lisa, owns him. Wow, was he nice to me! He could run like the wind, but would always wait for me to catch up to him. We had a great time the week they were home they were home for Christmas. We went to the park everyday. We ran in the snow, and on the ice, and best of all, we chased the seagulls at the park! Max was my new best friend! | ![]() |

Then all of a sudden, Max and Lisa were gone! The house was quiet without them! Lisa told me before she left, that she hoped to see me again in the summer, and Max would teach me how to swim, I hope summer comes quickly! The winter went by pretty fast. Mom enrolled me in obedience classes again, and I did better this time. I got a second place ribbon. Mom said, I won first place, in HER heart! |

Before I knew it, the snow was gone and the grass was coming again, mom said it was, Spring! The ice was out of the lake and the ducks were back swimming again. Wow, my first Spring! |
Then one night last May, we drove to a place called Fredericton, not far from my house. We went to the airport there and we waited for the plane to land. Mom stayed outside and walked me around and dad went inside to meet someone on the next flight! Now I didn't know who we were meeting, but I soon found out when I saw dad bring the kennel outside with him, it was MAX! I couldn't believe it, he HAD come back!
At first I'm not sure if he remembered me, but it didn't take us to long to get to know each other again! We licked each other and I know he remembered me then! Lisa was not with Max, but I knew she'd be back home soon, she wouldn't leave Max for very long! Lisa came home the next week on another plane, and so now we are all together again! We had such a good time playing chase with one another again! Max did teach me how to swim and to bring sticks back to dad. He is such a strong swimmer,he always gets back to shore before me and then he waits for me! What a good friend he is! |
Max and I both became Canine Good Citizens on June 20th of last year. We each got a nice certificate and we went to the Dairy Queen afterwards and had an ice cream cone, bow wow, was it good! |
![]() She looked just like me! She tugged on my ears and wanted to play with me. My mom and Holly's mom became good friends because of us, ESS's! ![]() ARROOOO, for Christmas Max and I each had a nice pig's ear to unwrap. We went to the park on Chrsitmas day, and even though we didn't have any snow yet, it was very cold up there! The lake is frozen over and we have the best times, running and playing with one another. I love Max sooo much, he is My Best Canine Friend! Well, thanks for romping by, and check back to read some more of my adventures! ![]() MOM'S TRIBUTE... Usually people write these things after their favorite pet has passed away, well I'm writing it while she is very much alive and well! It has been almost 4 years since I first laid eyes on you down at Wendy's, and I knew right then and there I had to have YOU! I cannot imagine life without you now! You bring such joy and love to our home, and to everyone who comes through our door! I just wanted to tell you how much I love you Bailey! When Wendy put you in my arms and said,"here you are, she is yours", I felt a bond I had never known before, with any of our other dogs! The night we went down to look at you and your sisters, is a night I won't ever forget. Wendy had one of your sisters picked out for us, and although she was a beautiful pup, it was YOU I wanted! The moment you came into the room to interact with your siblings, I couldn't take my eyes or hands off of you, but you were already spoken for! The next morning you were being sent to your new home to become a "show dog"! Wendy told us that if the people whom you were promised to, changed their minds, then we could have YOU! I thought to myself, "WHO would change their mind about taking HER"? They were very lucky people...So we came home empty handed and with a heavy heart. Luck was on OUR side! The next day, Wendy called to tell us, the people no longer wanted a pup, but were taking an older dog instead, so if you still want her, she is YOURS! YOU were well worth the wait... When we first brought you home, I didn't tell anyone we had you for a couple of days! I was being selfish and wasn't ready to share you with the world! To watch you grow everyday, and discover new things, like grass and snow, gives me great pleasure. Your beautiful temperment is one of the things I love most about you. You love everyone you meet, and make strangers seem like family. You are so different from any of our other dogs! You are very strong willed, which sometimes can be trying to me and your dad! You are also a free spirit, when you get something in your little head, it takes alot of coaxing to change your mind! On the otherhand you are the most loyal companion in MY life, and the greeting I receive from you when I come home, makes up for any of your stubborness! Oh the love in those springer eyes! There is nothing like it in the world, if only YOU could talk....I know what you would say, "MOM I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!" I dedicate this site to you, for you truly are, "MY Best Friend" Love, Mom |
