We take in dogs primarily from "hi-kill" shelters.  Occasionally we have a dog surrendered to us by its owners.  Dogs are temperment tested and examined by our veterinarian.  All of our dogs stay in foster homes until they are adopted.  Foster homes discover the personality of each dog so we are better able to place them into a home that will be theirs forever!  Dogs in shelters are often so stressed, their true personalities do not appear for several days after entering a home.  Foster homes also begin basic obedience training using the positive clicker method.  Dogs learn basic house manners and work on housebreaking (depending how long they are in foster care is how much training they will recieve.)
Adoption Fee is
$125 for dogs
*Puppies who have not been spayed/neutered will recieve a $25 rebate once proof of spay/neuter is recieved by Friends in Need.
Adopters must be over the age of 21.
