I owe everything I have learned in radio to all my fellow rockjocks atDZRJ-AM & DZRJ-FM 100.3, but most of all, to these legends of Philippine radio:Mike "Stoney Burke" Llamas, for letting me tag along with him toDZUW radio to watch him on-air, on those many mornings that I skipped school, and for being a big brother all the years. To Wayne"Walloping Wayne" EnaJe and Ron "Baby John" De Asis for letting me go on the air as a weekend jock at that legendary "underground" one kilowatt Rock radio station DZUW-AM 1310. ToAlan "Double A" Austria, for the Black beauties, but, seriously, for giving me that dagger stare whenever I screwed up (if looks could kill I'd be dead by now), and for being the inspiration in honing my craft like when he took me out of UW's laid-back type of rock announcing and make me learn the ropes at TOP40 with the first rock and roll radio station in the Philippines,DZRJ BOSSRADIO. His influence in production work, led to my perfecting the "Frankenstein" (splicing) way of doing promos in the old days with a two-track TEAC. To (the late great ) Arthur "Little Rock" Peckson, or "DAGA" for short, for always being there when I had the blues, and his wisdom, man, small guy but he has the biggest heart. To Jimmy Labrador, the first time I ever went up the tower, he was the first, and quite frankly, the best top40 DJ I have ever heard since, he made quite an impression on a 12 or 13 year old kid whose older BOSSRADIO fan of a brother dragged up to the RJ tower while they were visiting Grandma, who just happen to be living next door to the station in Sta. Mesa, Manila. To my Kumpare's & brother's in Rock,Alfred "The Madman" Gonzalez or better yet, "PUTIK", Bobby "The Unicorn" Mayuga, Manny "Libog" Casaclang (the MOLE), Howling "Brain Salad Surgery" Dave, and the rest of the pack, we really did ROCK the Philippines!!!
