Clue
Okay, no use beating around the bush - Clue is my favorite movie of all time.  I grew up with it.  I have probably seen it something of the order of 500,000 times since I was eight years old.  My family taped it, and I used to watch it every day.  Granted I rarely got the innuendo or the jokes, but I still found it great entertainment.  I have it memorized.
I'm sure that if you haven't heard of the movie, you've at least heard of the board game upon which this wonderful piece of cinema is based.  Six guests arrive at a New England mansion in 1954 to discuss letters they have all received.  What ensues is quite a comedic performance turned in by the likes of Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Lesley Ann Warren, Christopher Lloyd, and others.  Murder, mayhem, and general pandemonium take off from there.  Ahh, it's fun.  Sure, it has its faults, but so does every movie.  That's what makes it so great!  Er, that's one of the things that makes it so great!

Phaser
Phaser really was a close runner-up to Clue.  There are so many things about it that are beyond description, but I shall do my best to lay out the basic plot for those of you uninformed.  (Poor saps.)
Phaser was made in 1986.  It's the story of a bored man (Al Pacino) who one afternoon accidentally conjures up Ra, the sun god (David Bowie) in his (Phaser's) living room.  Ra has a mission he wants Phaser - Pacino's character - to help him with, and Phaser finds himself confronted with a chance for revenge that is simply too good to pass up.  What follows is no less than filmmaking at its best, an astounding mix of pathos and hilarity that in my mind is yet to be equaled.  It's an exquisite piece of cinematography that Bloody Springfield, the film's director, should be proud of.  (Have I made myself clear just how much I adore this particular movie?)

The Secret of NIMH
Okay, at first glance, the plot of this movie is either childish or boring or both- a field mouse named Mrs. Brisby is forced to confront some rats about moving her home when her invalid son is placed in danger by the farmer's plow.  Sounds pretty dumb, right?
Well, forgive me if I say that if you think this, you are a hopeless moron.
No, not really.  It's not for everyone.  But I still adore this movie.  Don Bluth's first, it's probably his best.  Some argue that Anastasia is his best, but hey, NIMH is just... well... cooler.  It's got it all- action, a teeny-weeny hint of romance, rodents, Dom DeLuise (sp?).  And a pretty theme song!  Of course, at the end of the movie the pretty theme song is sung by Lyle Lovett, but that is neither here nor there.  The animation is pretty superb, the voices are great, and how many G-rated movies do you, personally, know of wherein someone says "Damn!"  I'll tell you how many- one.
This one.  NIMH all the way!
NIMH, incidentally [pronounced NIM, as in NIMROD], stands for "National Institute of Mental Health", in case you were unaware.  Puts a whole new slant on things, doesn't it?

The Neverending Story
Ever heard of a luck dragon?  No?  Then you need to watch this movie.  Heck, you need to watch this movie anyway.
Know why?
'Cause it's really good.
It's about a little kid named Bastian (Barrett Oliver) who, when he doesn't want to take a math test for which he is late, goes to the attic of his school to read a book called The Neverending Story.  He gets absorbed in the adventures of Atreju (Noah Hathaway), a warrior boy, who fights a battle against impending disaster in the form of the ever-destructive Nothing.  (The Nothing is... really tough to describe.)  In any case, bizarre and eerie things start to happen, in the lives of both Bastian and Atreju.  It's a marvelous fairy tale.  It also has it all- action, sad things, funny things, a racing snail, and a stupid bat.  Wow.  Sit back and bask in the glow.
