The MCI Tradition
MCI
stands for the Managers Club, Inc. As
the Preamble of its
Constitution and By-Laws says, it is a voluntary organization
of PLDT managers
formed to promote the spirit of cooperation as
well as the
professional, physical,
intellectual, moral, spiritual
and socio-economic well-being of its members.
Established
in 1977, and
composed of executives and officers of
PLDT, the
club has developed a long-standing tradition of promoting
camaraderie and fellowship among its members. MCI, however, is
not only a social club for the executives. It is also an
avenue for service and professional growth. This is
because the club sponsors and undertakes various social and
civic projects as well as organizes learning sessions and
seminars that cater to the social and mental development
of PLDT executives.
Indeed,
the MCI is one of the noble and proud traditions of
PLDT’s executive corps. A tradition truly valued by PLDT’s
leaders. And hopefully one that will live on and flourish as
the company enters a new and more dynamic phase of its business.
