NEW AND IMPROVED...
IT'S SIMON'S PAGE!
So, all you really have to do is click on one of the images above, then you can be whisked away to another of my own fun pages full of facts, figures, views and links! Not too difficult, is it? If, in the meantime, you're not doing anything else, and you enjoy reading about strange people, you can settle down and read the next section, which is kind of like a mini - autobiography. I've given the next bit the very original title of....wait for it...
ALL ABOUT ME!!
Oh, how original. So, what do need to know? Well, you don't need to know anything, but as you're still here, you must be a little curious. Well, my name is Simon Keith Bromley. I hail from Sheffield, England, and am 24 years old. I have never kissed the editor of the Radio Times, and I look like this:
Not a pretty sight really, is it? Not to worry.
I was born on Friday, January 19th, 1979 (at about tea - time) at the old Jessops hospital in Sheffield. If I had been a girl, my parents would have called me Emma. There you go - who says the internet isn't informative?
As a young child, I lived close to the home ground of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, at Hillsborough, so naturally, I became a Sheffield United supporter.
We moved house in about 1983, and I attended Intake First & Middle School, the
same school that Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker attended, who, incidentally, I used to live next door to. In 1987, whilst at my friend's house next door (the other side - not Jarvis), I had an epileptic fit and, unsurprisingly, diagnosed epileptic. My mother will never forget that day - It was a sunday, and we were having beef for dinner. With all the rush in taking me to hospital, she left it in the oven and it got burnt. We've only ever had beef about twice since.
I tend to have a history of being unwell over christmas, and in 1990, I was particularly unwell. Dehydrated is the word. In early January 1991, on my mother's birthday, I was rushed into hospital again in great pain - I was diabetic, and so dehydrated, I was hours away from death. Still, it got me off school for a couple of weeks. From September 1991 to June 1995 I attended the City School in Sheffield, gaining a few GCSE's along the way, notably in English, Maths, Science and Drama. I am, without wishing to sound too egocentric, a brilliant artist, but I only got an E in Art, mainly because I was often absent(I was picked on a lot) so coursework was missing. It had long been my dream to go to art college, so in the autumn of '95, I went to do my A levels, in Art, English Literature and Mathematics. However, bad health prevailed and I was forced to quit my studies. After a year or so of not doing a great deal, which included a couple of weeks earning pittance as a salesman, and a brilliant three months as a Prince's Trust Volunteer, I went back to college. Wanting to do something different, I chose to follow a dramatic path, and did a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at the Sheffield College, where I got a Merit profile. After a couple of years unemployed, during which I have trained for units of an NVQ in retail work, I'm now looking at university as an option, specifically Science and science fiction. I enjoy writing, and have written plays, short stories, poems and songs. I am currently writing a sitcom, based loosely on myself. I have had very limited success with the opposite sex, so am unfortunately single. Tut - tut.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, trying to sing and surfing.
The internet, obviously. I can't swim.
