Autumn
The flowers of summer have all gone,
Now that autumn is here.
But through the long summer,
They filled my heart with cheer.

With beautiful colors,
All so bright and gay,
I loved looking at them,
They made my day.

Then Jack Frost came around,
With his fingers of ice,
To give the trees color,
Now they all look so nice.

But the flowers will wilt,
As he touches each one,
Then they're covered with snow,
For winter has begun.

So until winters cold grasp has gone,
I shall wait until spring comes in with it's song.
Then once again I shall see,
The flowers of summer return to me.
