          ~Mary's boy~

It was a night very long ago
in a land very far away.
For Joseph and his Mary riding
there was no room along the way.

At last in a stable they found the rest
and the warmth that they needed so.
And there the wonder happened that night
that everyone had hoped for, high and low.

In the little stable so far away
Mary got a little baby boy.
He came, whom the world had been waiting for
The Saviour, Mary's bundle of joy.

To His glory the angels to the shepherds sang
They went to that stable and said words of joy.
Wise men too were led by a beaming star
to greet the Saviour, Mary's boy.

The boy in the manger is the reason
          that we celebrate Christmas today.
And for this wonder we must remember
to sing praise in every possible way.
