He just looked her up and down,
more interested in the cocoa mix
slathered on his muzzle and paws.
The darts of hatred she shot at him
merely glanced off his thick black
fur, his groans of pleasure for her
treasures found in an outdoor kitchen
consuming his attention.
Not even her protector, small
pistol in hand, could deter
the big black monster, a bully.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
into the wood pile.
The bully looked up, but continued to
preen, relaxed, long tongue a flag
signaling his message,
"Go away!"
But she looked for rocks,
despite warnings, "Get in the truck,
Get in the truck," ready for the fight!
Then that mammal stood up,
and she looked up
and jumped in the truck,
no hard feelings,
"Take the chips, the crackers!"
Exaust pipe whispered, "have
your fill, it's yours."
He didn't even miss an oreo.
