The Films I Have Made

Hot Stuff (1996)

Synopsis: This movie has a scenario. You are the star! The scenario is that you are sitting on the couch, late at night, flicking through the channels, and nothing’s on. You watch a little bit of each channel, then watch some music videos on MuchMusic, and finally, you are stuck with watching crap country videos. Basically, it is just stuff I taped from TV, and just clips of other stations. I just don’t know why I called it “Hot Stuff”.

Running Time: Unknown

Stinkies Playtime Live (1997)

Synopsis: A group of fun loving creatures known as the “Stinkies” put on a live performance, with Grobi a monster-like creature bouncing on a ball and singing, Mick the rabbit reads a sentence from “Man & Space” and teaches the alphabet, Moe the frog as master of ceremonies, Kanga with her giant marble, “Friends In the Coconut Tree”, Trolley doing a magic trick, and the “Caballeros”. It’s just a presentation of stuffed animals doing stuff.

Running Time: Approximately 15 minutes

The Tour (1999)

Synopsis: A cameraman (me) gives a tour of his house, starting with a bedroom, where we see Hot Wheels cars, and listen to “Happy Together” on the radio. Then we go downstairs where we see Dexter McQueen (a friend of mine) and my brother in the “good room” as we called back where I used to live, playing WinBrick. Then we go to the kitchen where we hear “Mr. Snowman” “sing” We Wish You A Merry Christmas. We then watch a game of GoldenEye on Nintendo 64, and then back to WinBrick. Then comes a “music video”, where I tried to tape myself, but I didn’t have a tripod, unfortunately, and I was too close to the camera. Then we see a clip from Ren & Stimpy. And finally, we end off with over 15 minutes of MarioKart 64 duels. This was the first time I ever used a camcorder.

Running Time: Approximately 47 minutes

MarioKart 64: The Movie (2001)

Synopsis: There are two versions of this movie: “Mario’s Fight to the Finish” and “Villains Rally”. In Mario’s Fight To The Finish, we see Mario driving down the tracks of the season, battling to the finish. He wins first in every race, but in the end, finishes second place. In Villains Rally, we see a split screen with Bowser on the top, and Wario on the bottom. This turns the movie into a battlefield, but racing (I basically just recorded game play from the Nintendo 64 game). With Bowser winning every race (well almost), Wario gets his revenge in the end, leaving Bowser out of it. One of the hardest parts of Villains Rally is Banshee Boardwalk. Many takes were done, and the bad takes were erased, so they no longer exist, unfortunately.

Running Time: Approximately 75 minutes each

Messy Mercury (2003)

Synopsis: Mr. Julius Snively calls Felix the Cat, an astronomer at NASA, on a mission to discover the far distant planet Mercury. Felix becomes a little nervous, and almost backs out, but finally he does it. At 7:30 am the next morning, Felix is a rocket. A Walkie Talkie calls him asking if he is ready for lift off. Felix hops on the rocket, and the countdown begins. The rocket fires off. Felix becomes worried. As the rocket zoom past the planets, the air speed reads “Incredible, ain’t it!” The rocket finally lands on Mercury. Felix discovers the air speed in astronomical units, and then steps out to check the temperature. He finds out that the temperature is dangerously high. Felix then discovers a crater, and becomes furious. Then he floats in mid air, discovering the low gravity level on the planet. With the help of a little man in the air, Felix is given advice on how to escape from low gravity levels, to “swim down to the surface”. Felix goes back on the rocket to Earth, and reports Mercury to Mr. Snively. Mr. Snively wanted Felix to be the “first cat in space”, and it just proves to you that he actually was. Mr. Snively then tells Felix other info about Mercury that he didn’t know already. The picture then ends with Felix going away because of the time. Mr. Snively then says goodbye to Felix, and “see you tomorrow!” Then an orchestral vamp ends the picture to the end title.

Running Time: 9 minutes 41 seconds

The Hacky Challenge (2005)

Synopsis: Five guys and one girl compete to see who has the best hacky sack skills. A British-accented voice over describes all the action that is taking place.

Awards: This film had won third place in the Simcoe Film Festival held on May 18, 2005 in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada.

Running Time: 5 minutes
