ADVANCED GUN DOG TRAINING HUNT TEST CAMPAIGNING

Our Puppy Training Program is for retriever breeds age 12 weeks.

In this program the puppies are taught to:
Walk on a leash
Sit
Return while retrieving
We introduce them to a variety of
Retrieving bumpers
Birds
Decoys
Gun fire &
Water.

This program lasts 1 month and is an excellent introduction and foundation on which to build future training for retrievers.
This is a motivational program and nothing is strict. We focus on the pup's positive attitude and his learning to LOVE what he is doing

A Started Gun Dog

Our Started Gun Dog Training Program is for retrievers over the age of 6 months. This program lasts approximately 4 months. It includes the full Obedience Training Program plus 5 NEW commands associated with retrieving.
These commands are
MARK, BACK, FETCH, HOLD & LEAVE.
In addition to the Obedience Training Program and these 5 new commands, upon completion of the Started Gun Dog Training Program your dog should:
1) be steady to wing and shot
2) be able to mark and retrieve a double
3) not switch on a diversion
4) be accustomed to duck blind and pit blind
5) fetch and hold
6) have experience on ducks and pigeons
7) not play with decoys
8) load in the truck and crate
9) be comfortable on tree stand or platform
10)be proficient on land and water

ADVANCED GUN DOG TRAINING

Our Advanced Gun Dog Program is for dogs that have completed the Started Program.
In the Advanced Gun Dog Training Program we build on the foundation of the Started Program and teach HAND SIGNALS and WHISTLE COMMANDS. The retrievers are trained to STOP on command and look at the handler for direction. The initial program is 4 months.
