I don’t know about you, but I am on the horns of a big time moral dilemma. I would love to live up to the example set by Al to become the change we wish to see in the world. I would love to live up the ideals of the Democratic Party and embrace our Republican brothers and sisters in the true spirit of bipartisanship, like a grown up. I would love to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony and then buy that same world a Coke, but those rat bastards at Coca-Cola ponied up the funds that ran the Smirk Campaign that bought the Rent-A-Nazis that stopped the hand counts that fixed the Florida total that was chloroformed by the Supreme Court that disenfranchised millions that stole the Presidency, which was the whole point of the fix that Team Smirk built.

Umm... see what I mean? Not exactly statesmanlike, am I?

You remember a few days ago, when Mikey was calling for unity on the Left by screaming about Gore’s reactionary voting record in the Senate? To recap, SpamMaster Moore wrote:

"Look, let's be honest about something. Part of the reason we are in the mess we are in today is because AL GORE voted YES to put Justice Scalia on the Supreme Court.

Let me say this one more time so it sinks in to every Gore-loving head out there:

AL GORE VOTED TO PUT SCALIA ON THE SUPREME COURT!

The chickens sure have come home to roost for that blunder (and for the 11 Democrats who voted YES to give Clarence Thomas his narrow victory)."

Ouch! Pretty damning, huh? Well, an possum-eyed regular reader of the Flapdoodle provided the editorial board with these facts to aid in rebutting Mikey’s latest Gore-bash-athon:

How many Senators voted AGAINST Scalia? Zero. Nada. Zippo. The BIG goose egg. The vote to install Scalia was 98-0! Yep, that’s EVERYBODY in the Senate voting for Scalia except two REPUBLICANS who didn’t vote (Garn & Goldwater). There weren’t even any arguments voiced in opposition to his nomination! According to our reader, "Scalia was simply well-regarded as extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and pleasant. He was an uncontroversial nominee."

Whoa! I guess EVERYBODY in the Senate in 1986 is to blame for Scalia getting in, not just Gore, and not just the Democrats, huh Mikey?

But what about Rehnquist? Gore voted AGAINST the elevation of Rehnquist to Chief Justice, but that wasn't enough to stop Rehnquist from being approved 65-33. Only two Republicans voted against Rehnquist. What does that mean, possums one and all? Do the extremely non-fuzzy math. The Republicans OUTNUMBERED the Democrats by a substantial margin and voted their guy in!

As for Clarence Thomas, Gore voted AGAINST making him a Supreme Court judge. But the vote went 52-48 for installing him. 46 Democrats voted nay, only 11 idiots in the party voted yea. (You don’t think the fact that Thomas was claiming the investigation into him as a possible sexual harasser was "a high tech lynching" scared a few Dem’s into voting for him, so you? Naaaaaah! That would be a cynical take on the appointment of one of our most esteemed Judges to the Highest Court in the land!)

Did 50 million of us go Gore just because he was the most qualified person to EVER run for President, running on the issues against a GOP character-assassination-fest, playing by the rules while team Smirk kneecapped Democracy to the delight of all the corporate media chihuahuas, who rolled around in the stinking gutter, degrading our electoral process like no electoral process has ever been degraded before???

Well, okay... yeah, we did.

But that's not stopping Team Smirk from setting their sights on the Artic National Wildlife Refuge - - home to incredibly fragile caribou breeding grounds - - and the humans who depend on the caribou herd for their lives!

We at the Flapdoodle say – not so fast, Snippy! Email President Clinton (remember him?) and DEMAND he save the caribou from the clutches of Smirk and Company! DEMAND he designate the coastal plain of the Artic National Wildlife Refuge a National Monument!

And while you're at it, ask your Democratic Senators and Representatives to get off their donkey and lobby Clinton to save the caribou!
