MASUD KHADDARPOSH TRUST

THE TRUST AND ITS OBJECTIVES

The Main objective of the Masud Khaddarposh Trust is to promote the
Punjabi language, literature and culture through awards and activities
geared toward encouraging Punjabi writers and artists to continue their
work. Among these awards and activities are the following:

* Annual awards to the authors of books written in different categories
such as poetry, prose, children's religious scientific, vocational and
general books.

* Punjabi classical poetry recitation competitions amongst students of
colleges and schools in the Province.

* The creation of a reference library of all Punjabi books published in
Pakistan and internationally.

* Financial aid to Punjabi writers, who are unable to meet the cost of
their publications, especially books on science and research.

* Presentation of "The Punjabi Worker of the year" award.

* Assistance in the development of Punjabi folklore.
