DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

This list was actually a thought experiment based on several unsuccessful forays with my Siberian Nomads in which bad going was the bane of my army. So I looked at what worked well in bad going. Warbands, Shooters, Beasts, and Lurkers were the "bad going best." As to the actual composition, that was determined by looking through my old figures box, and this is what I found: 18 Chariot Zulus (including a General figure,) 12 Minifigs Ethiopian Archers, and 8 Ral Partha Lion Centaurs (including Hero and Standard Bearer.) So withall these little guys, we have an army that is not the speediest, but is entirely unaffected by Bad Going, which was the whole point after all.

STATUS

The core elements are painted, although the bases are not completed. I don't even have an idea o how to do the stronghold yet.

BATTLES

July 3rd, 2001: Fought two battles against Darkhost today, once against his lizardmen and once agaist his medievals. The Lizards were fairly beataen in a close game that could ave gone either way unil the final turn; it was a pity that his Behemoth General recoiled from a warband twice in a row! Duke Draken fared better against my little army; although I appeared to be winning, his Knight General and Hero ganged up on my undefended Stronghold (cheerfully borrowed from my Nomad army) and won the game by capturing it I discovered that this army is particularly vulnerable to mounted units in good going, advice well earned and to be heeded in the future.
