Instead of doing the 20% thing I went straight cost since I am not sure how the shield stat should rate... but reading the bit of fluff I have read I felt it needed to be there...  The only person that has an option is the commander and the slaves... that is it.. the rest take them as they are...

Despite the Golem's great scientific achievements, one biggest questions to haunt them lies within their own biology What most assume is one creature is actually two, a body and a separate brain. The process that binds the two has been created by centuries of complex evolution on the molecular level.  A intricate process that still hold secrets from Golem technicians. Sometimes a Golem brain is hatched with the defect of not being able to bond to a body. Other times, it is discovered that a Golem brain's nerve endings have been too damaged to allow for a transplant to a new body.  Either way, the race thinks that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. So the Watcher Caste was born. A Caste that is treated with a mix of pragmatic pity.  The brains are inserted into a small anti-grav pod with sensors and appropriate attachments. The Watchers are used mostly as observers and assistants.  Places where a good eye and mind are needed for work that is not be trusted to slaves. As a side note: Watchers born into their caste are not allowed to breed. For the few Golems who decide Watcherhood over seppeku, the pod's controls are leagues inferior to that of proper Golem body. The frustration of dealing with a mechanical crutch after losing a Golem drives some of these born-again Watchers insane. So despite the honor of still being allowed breed, some of these Golem brains have made the Watchers the only caste with a suicide statistic.
