| Scales This does not refer to the skin of reptiles and fishes. Nor is it a common appliance that women wish would lie to them (bathroom weighing scale). Quite simply, it is the organisation of certain musical frequencies in order of pitch (higher or lower sound... eg. woman screaming = high pitch, woman moaning = low pitch) A common scale is the "C" Major scale, named after the note C because the scale begins with the note C ending on the same note at a higher or lower interval. ie. same sound but higher pitch. It really is a bitch trying to explain this concept so if you dont understand this... only an audio example can help you. click HERE for example We learn this scale first because it is logically the easiest scale to learn as its order follow the 3rd letter of the english alphabet and repeats itself after the letter G. Example ABCDEFG as in the 7 letters of the english alphabet. C major scale = CDEFGABC click HERE for example how to use the C major scale it is applicable in songs which base themselves in the major keys of C, F, or G. Alternatively they can be applied to songs with minor keys of A, D, or E. Examples : i have created examples where if in the key of D minor, the C major scale starts on the note D. ie. DEFGABCD, and if it is in the key of E minor, then the C major scale starts on the note E. ie. EFGABCDE. and so on and so forth. i will not insult your intelligence by elaborating further.
