Children
Children should not suffer
From hunger or abuse
They should not be featured
As victims in the news

Children should be happy
Full of happiness and cheer
They should not be hurt
Or suffer horror and fear

There should be lots of laughter
And playtime with friends
Or puppydogs or kittens
Until their childhood ends

Slideshows
Disasters
Hurricane and Earthquake
Landslide and Flood
Planet Earth bringing forth
Disaster, Tragedy and Blood
People dying in their hundreds
Lying in the dirt
Whole villages disappearing
Major populations getting hurt
Military men turning from war
Helping those indesperate need
Butstill the planet rages on
Nothing we do will make it concede.

OLD AGE
My body is falling apart
As old age catches me up
Arthritis in all my joints
I can't even hold my cup

It seems like only yesterday
When I could walk, run and leap
But now the aches and pains
Stop me from getting any sleep

Now I dontmind getting old
And learning wisdom with the years
Butwhy does my body let me down
And leave me in painful tears?

LUCY
She is old and tired
And she is feeling her age
Her puppy years long lost
In times ceaseless rage
But the sleepness nights
From her weakened bladder,
Because we love her,
It doesn't really matter

THE LEOPARD
With feline grace he paced
The proud leaopard in captivit
Golden eyes warily watched
With not an ounce of passivity

The people gathered round
Thier lives full of depravity
The Leopard in his cage
Just a part of their festivity

If they had not caught him
Life would have had no longevity
But locked in his lonely cage
He was jsut one more commodity

The Leopard in his cage
Was an object of curiosity
No way for him to escape
No chance for immortallity

I AM
I am what I am
And that's a fact
A little outspoken
And not much tact
I say what I think
Speak what I feel
Take me as I am
It's no big deal

HOMELESS
Hey mister can you hear me
Can you see me there
On the streets and homeless
My life and soul laid bare
So mister can you hear me
Do you even really care?

Hey mister are you listening
To the person at your feet
I'm just one of thousands
Homeless and on the street
So mister are you listening
Or is your world too neat?

Hey mister can you help me
Wit hfood or money for tea
I don't like all this begging
But I am homeless - you see
So mister can you help me
Can you give a job to me?

ONE LOVE
We met in young love play
We spent many years as one
Now we are both old and grey
Our life together almost done
Though winter chill is in the air
My heart sours like a dove
He and I, we are still a pair
Two Bodies, Two Souls, One Love
