PWG Heavyweight Title Tournament
Bracket One
Round One
John Iley -vs- Mark Sherrick
The first match of the night, and the first match of the PWG Heavyweight Title Tournament is about to begin! Both men have made their entrances; the crowd is really against Sherrick, growing more intolerable of him as each show passes. Iley, on the other hand, has the whole building behind him. Sherrick accepts Iley's handshake - but while still gripping his hand, he draws his thumb across his throat! Sherrick is looking to take Iley out completely! The bell sounds, and here we go!
They're circling each other in the center, and now they lock it up. Quick go-behind from Sherrick - oh! Knee to the back! Iley jolts forward and spins quickly, clutching at his back and eyeing Sherrick. Sherrick spreads his arms out, calling Iley on again. He obliges and they tangle once more; armbar from Sherrick - oh! He swings his leg up and kicks Iley in the upper back! Iley again gets out of dodge, while Sherrick maintains a cocky grin. Iley looks a little more than annoyed now, and Sherrick tells him to bring it once more. Iley charges in and they lock up - this time it's Iley who goes behind! Full nelson applied - Sherrick reverses quickly and nails a huge forearm to the base of Iley's neck! John wobbles a bit, and now Sherrick nails another one. Iley drops to a knee and Mark runs to the ropes behind him. He comes charging back - clothesline, no! Iley ducks it and Sherrick runs through to the ropes. He comes back - dropkick from Iley! Sherrick flies backwards, and right out of the ring!
Iley gets to a knee, rubbing the back of his neck, while Sherrick pulls himself onto the apron. He enters the ring again, as Iley allows him that luxury. They begin circling in the center again, and now Sherrick wants a test of strength. Iley obliges, but quickly spins it around into a hammer lock. Sherrick looks for a way to get out, grabbing Iley from behind. He flips him over with a snapmare - Iley maintains the grip on the arm, though, and as he lands on his back he nails Sherrick in the forehead with a kneestrike! Sherrick flies backwards, and Iley jumps to his feet. He charges at him, missing a clothesline. He spins, right into a Sherrick forearm. He connects again, and Iley stumbles backwards. He shakes it off and swings one of his own, connecting flush on the jaw line! Sherrick with his own, and Iley again! Sherrick swings - no, he balks it and Iley ducks... knee strike to the face! Sherrick gives Iley another taste of his own medicine.
Iley flies back from that attack, clutching at his mouth. Sherrick maintains his assault, coming right towards Iley. He grabs him from behind and swings him, right into a side headlock. Sherrick has him locked in it now, a move that most don't recognize the strength of. To most wrestling fans, the side headlock is just a rest hold, but in the glory days, pardon the phrase, of wrestling, that headlock was used to wear down the head and neck of the opponent. Sherrick could be doing just that; wearing down Iley's neck in order to perhaps finish him with that vicious Tornado DDT that has helped Sherrick in the past. Nonetheless, Sherrick is wrenching on the hold in the center of the ring. Iley drops to a single knee, while Sherrick stays on his feet, retaining that leverage. Iley is trying to pry Sherrick's arms off of him, while the ref checks to ensure that it is indeed not a choke. Iley nails a forearm to the small of Sherrick's back! Another! Oh, but Mark puts the pressure right on the neck once more, halting Iley's progress. John is getting back to his feet here, and now he's backing Sherrick into the ropes. He pushes him to the far side - no, Sherrick keeps the hold on! Iley stomps his foot on the mat, perhaps out of frustra-no! He was snapping back with leverage, pulling Sherrick over with a snapping-back suplex! Sherrick hits hard on the side of his head, and now both men are down clutching at their necks!
Iley isn't out of it for too long, though, realizing that he needs to capitalize on the situation. He's up, rolling his neck as he gets to his feet. Leigh looks on from ringside, clapping for her man. Iley advances towards Sherrick, who sends a forearm into the stomach. Another, but Iley connects with a forearm down onto Sherrick's head to stop his momentum. He pulls him to his feet - European uppercut! Sherrick turns around, clutching at his chest. Iley follows him as he stumbles away, shoving him chest-first into the corner. Sherrick turns himself around, and now Iley whips him to the far side. Sherrick crashes hard and Iley charges in - back elbow in the corner! Iley sticks to Sherrick and hooks him up - Ace Crusher! He covers afterwards, but Sherrick was too close to the corner and got his foot on the rope. Iley is quickly up and drops a knee across his chest. Sherrick sits up, holding his sternum, and Iley is to his feet behind him... oh! Just a straight stomp on the base of his neck! Sherrick rolls into the ropes, and now right out to the floor.
He's walking around, rubbing his neck - but Iley comes right to him! He grabs Sherrick from behind and rolls him back into the ring. Iley rolls in as well - but Sherrick catches him coming in, stomping him on the back! Iley groans, and it looks like a light bulb just went off in Sherrick's head! Another stomp to the back! Another! He's relentless! He won't stop! Iley is trying to squirm away, but Sherrick grabs him by the arm and pulls him into the center of the ring. He spins around him - single arm Camel Clutch! He's got Iley trapped! John's free arm is waving furiously in the air, while Leigh looks on, appearing to be in almost as much agony as Iley himself! Sherrick isn't holding back, either, he's bending John like a pretzel! The ref is in there, but Iley isn't giving it up. That free arm, though, looks like it's losing some life. Sherrick yanks back some more, and now Iley's arm is moving even less. Leigh Dominguez looks close to tears! Iley isn't giving up - he's passing out! Sherrick pulls back again, and oh no! Iley's arm, which was just waving in the air, dropped right down to the canvas! Wait - Sherrick releases the hold! The ref is checking - no, Sherrick tells him to back off! Sherrick.. oh no, he's going over towards Leigh!
He's on the bottom rope, leaning over at her - he just dragged his thumb across the throat again! He's telling her that he's gonna finish Iley off! Sherrick, he's going to the top rope! What's he got in mind?? He's taking his time, but it doesn't matter - Iley hasn't moved a muscle! Sherrick is jawing at the fans, and now he steps to the top rope. He leaps off - frog splash! ILEY MOVES!!! HE ROLLS AWAY, and right to his feet! He was playing possum! Sherrick crashes to the canvas, and HARD! He hops up to his feet and - OH! Iley just nailed him with a palm strike to the side of the head! Sherrick spins around from the force - full nelson slam from Iley! He's back up - GEORDIE AGGRO!! He's got Sherrick locked up in the center of the ring! Iley wasn't hurt at all, his back must really be fine! He got inside the head of Sherrick, who is struggling on the mat! He can't, he CAN NOT move around the ring! Iley has him - YES!! Sherrick says the words - he gives up! It's over!!
Winner: John Iley
Iley picks up the big win here in the first round, taking Sherrick out of the tournament. Post match, Iley gets to his feet, showing the crowd and Leigh that his back is just fine. She seems a little miffed at first, but he grins and spreads his arms open, inviting her into an embrace and spinning her around in the ring. Iley's trip from England to become PWG Heavyweight Champion is just one step closer! Sherrick eventually got to his feet, feeling the effects of Iley's out-of-nowhere finish. The two shook hands, but before Sherrick could release the grip, Iley pulled him in and said something to him, which I couldn't pick up on. Iley then chose to leave the ring first, celebrating with Leigh and the fans on the way back.

Round One
Brandon Williams -vs- Bobby Skylark
This match could be a show stealer, folks. Both men are crowd favorites; Skylark the resident PWG home-boy, and Williams coasting on the knowledge that he was trained under Jonathan Collins. Tonight, he gets to become Brandon Williams, PWG athlete, instead of Brandon Williams, student. That is, if Skylark lets him. Both men received a warm reception, and shook hands gladly in the center of the ring to get us started. The winner here will face John Iley, another match which will be wrestled with the same kind of respect. The bell sounds!
They lock it up, and Skylark quickly spins around Williams, from a quick armbar into a side headlock, back around to a hammerlock, and now a full nelson! A nice chain from Bobby, but Williams neatly slides down and out of the move, giving Skylark a double kick to the chest! "Skyhigh" flies into the ropes, and Williams gets to his feet, ready for an attack. Skylark grins at him, and the two lock it up again. Williams goes into a high wristlock, running towards the corner. Skylark has no choice but to follow, and now Williams jumps to the second, now to the top rope. He jumps again, spinning around on the top rope, and now bounces off towards Skylark - releases the wristlock, and snaps Skylark over with a hurricanrana! Both men get up and Bobby charges - clothesline from Williams! Skylark up again and runs at him - leap frog from Williams. Skylark runs through to the ropes and comes back - baaaaack body drop! NO! Skylark lands on his feet and runs towards the ropes - spring to the middle and an Asai moonsault! Williams turns around just in time to see him - Skylark half connects, locking Williams with an inverted chancery... OH! Inverted DDT onto the knee! Williams rolls away, arching his back and getting to his knees, sort of glaring at Skylark.
Brandon snaps out of it and gets back to his feet - charges right at Skylark! Bobby dropkicks him in the ankles, nose-planting Williams. Skylark up and to the ropes, as Williams rolls to his stomach. Skylark comes back - drops down with an elbow on the neck of Williams! A wise move, catching the youngster off-guard. Williams rolls to his stomach, where Skylark sits him up, slapping on a keylock. Williams is struggling here, being taken out of the high-flying atmosphere for the time being. Skylark has himself in a position where he's got maximum leverage on his opponent. Williams spins, attempting to get to his feet; as he does, though, Skylark maintains the hold. Both men standing now - backflip from Williams! He lands on his feet, breaking the hold - oh! He just pulled Skylark's arm, sending him flying to the arena floor! Skylark hits hard, and now Williams needs to take advantage.
Williams shakes off the effects of that arm hold while Skylark is slowly getting up outside. Williams is eyeing him from the ropes, and he looks like he's ready to let loose! Skylark gets up and Williams charges to the far side. He comes back - he leaps to the top... Skylark ducks! Wait - Williams is still balancing on the top rope! Skylark ducked, but Williams didn't jump yet! He jumps, turning a 180 on the top rope and Skylark looks back up - MOONSAULT! Williams crashes down on top of Skylark, and both men are in a heap on the arena floor! Outstanding! The crowd is giving an appreciative applause for that effort, while Brandon starts to get back up. He grabs Skylark and rolls him into the ring. Williams enters behind and covers - only gets a two count.
Williams pulls him up again, connecting with a big forearm shot. Skylark stumbles back, winding up in the corner. Williams doesn't give him any time to rest, though, and whips him into the far side. Skylark hits hard and Williams charges - Bobby gets a foot up! He catches Williams in the mush, and leaps to the second rope. Skylark leaps at Williams - hurricanrana! No! Williams catches him - OH!! He falls back, and Skylark lands throat-first on the top rope! A Hotshot manuever, and Skylark is down! Williams rolls out of the ring, and he's going to the top rope! Skylark is writhing in pain on the canvas and Williams leaps - flying legdrop, right across the throat! He covers; only a two count. He seems a little ticked that Bobby got out there, but he wastes no time in harshly ripping him off of the canvas and back to his feet.
Williams whips Skylark into the ropes and moves in - off of the rebound, Brandon dropkicks him in the chest! Bobby flies back into the ropes, Williams is up, Skylark rebounds again - OH! Leaping stunner on Skylark, with a slight variation; instead of dropping Bobby's throat over his shoulder, Williams leapt into the air and drove his throat down into his knee! Skylark's head snapped back hard on that one, while a new intensity has been lit up for Brandon Williams. He again yanks Bobby to his feet, shoving him into the corner... palm strike to the bottom of his chin! He grabs him by the arm and whips him - no, he spins around... chest first into the corner! Bobby stumbles into a hangman's neckbreaker from Williams! Either he's got some new fangled submission that does damage to the throat and neck, or Williams is just out to hurt Skylark and make a name for himself tonight.
He opts to pull Bobby up again instead of going for the cover. Could prove to be a mistake, but at this point, Williams has things where he wants them. He whips Bobby into the far ropes again - Skylark comes right back with a flying forearm! Williams gets rocked waaaaaay back, and Skylark gets to his feet. Brandon charges in - clothesline from Bobby, and he goes down! He charges in again, and a standing leg lariat! Williams up once more - leap frog from Skylark... no, Williams catches him in an atomic drop! Now a European uppercut! Hiptoss for a trifecta of moves - no, Skylark puts on the breaks. He spins it around - hiptoss for Williams! No, another reverse! And again - wait, Skylark tosses Williams right over the top rope! OHH!! Williams hung onto Skylark, and he hit throat-first on the top rope! Skylark snaps back into the center of the ring, and Williams is up on the apron. He's priming himself for something... he leaps when Skylark turns around - SUNBURN DDT!! NO!!! Skylark manages to do a handstand on the mat as Williams hits back-first! Skylark flips to his feet - standing moonsault on Williams! He runs over to the corner and springs up - a quick signal to the fans... FALLING SKIES!!! Skylark hits it! He covers - and he's got him! It's over!
Winner: Bobby Skylark
The crowd was hot after the sudden, and breathtaking, finish of this match up. They continued the applause for these two men as they worked their way to their feet. They then exchanged a handshake and before leaving, Williams raised Skylark's hand to the crowd. Skylark soaked up the applause from the crowd for a moment or two, before making his way backstage as well. Skylark advances in the tournament, facing John Iley in the second round next month!

Round One
Troy Fenix -vs- James Halford
Halford got a pretty nice response coming out, from those who have followed his twenty year career in the sport. Troy Fenix's entrance was less jovial, as the crowd booed him like mad. They still remember the way he busted Skylark open after their match last month at Smashed Into Pieces, and they're holding him to his actions. Halford extended a hand to Fenix, who accepted with a smug look upon his face.
They break the handshake and turn to go to their corners - oh! Fenix spins back around and dropkicks Halford in the back! He hits the canvas hard, and now Fenix is back up... relentlessly stomping on the back and neck! He stops, walking over to the ropes and yelling out to the crowd. They want to see him taken apart! Fenix turns back to Halford, picking him up to his feet. Strong open hand slap to the chest, sending Halford reeling to the ropes. Fenix nails another one and now whips him into the far side. Boot to the chest! Halford flies back again and Fenix charges at him - modified STO! Fenix is in full control here, especially after catching Halford off guard early on. He sits him up and walks behind him - SMACK! A big kick to the neck! Right in the base of the neck, Fenix connects hard with a kick. Halford rolls to his side, trying to get away and shake the cobwebs out, but Fenix advances towards him again. A stomp to the chest as he tries to roll away, and Halford gets stopped in his tracks.
Troy pulls him to his feet, this time hitting him with a brutal forearm shiver to the side of the head. Halford stumbles away, and I think he may be out of it a little bit. He seems a little wobbly, and I'm not sure if he's just caught off guard or if Fenix knocked something loose, but Halford does not look good right now. Fenix whips Halford into the far side - Halford hangs onto the ropes. Fenix runs towards him - back body drop! No! Fenix lands on his feet on the apron! Halford spins around - Fenix ducks a forearm attack, and nails a shoulder into Halford's stomach. Halford doubles over, and now Fenix pulls him out between the top and middle ropes. Elbow to the neck and now he backs up along the apron - OHH!! Good Lord! He comes forward and kicks Halford right in the side of the face! James just collapsed through the ropes and to the arena floor!
Fenix enters the ring now, looking pretty proud of himself. He's got this one wrapped up, folks! He has to! The referee is laying the count down on Halford, who is struggling to get to his feet. In the ring, though, Fenix is on the ropes, yelling out towards the crowd. He's not even paying attention! Halford is getting up now, leaning on the apron. Fenix turns around to see this and charges - baseball slide, Halford moves! Fenix slides out, landing on his feet outside... Halford clotheslines him! Fenix hits hard on the ground, and Halford drops to his knees - what a follow through on that clothesline! Halford shakes his head then clutches his neck, getting back to his feet. Fenix is still getting up quicker, though, and grabs Halford by the head as he gets up. Halford breaks the grip! BAM! Forearm shot! Another! Another! No, a knee lift from Fenix - OH! He just through Halford head-first into the steel railing! He quickly peels him off of the ground and rolls him back inside, coming back to the ring himself afterwards.
Fenix is walking around the ring, once again ignoring Halford. He's riling this crowd up some more, while James is on the canvas trying to recover; keyword: trying. Halford is pulling himself up on the ropes now, while Fenix slowly makes his way back over to him. He grabs him by the head - shot to the gut from Halford! Another! A third, and Fenix backs off! Halford is up and Troy comes back with a forearm - James bats it away and nails one of his own! Again! Halford is fighting back! He's backing Troy into the ropes, and now he whips him to the far side. Fenix comes back - flying kneelift from Halford, and Fenix goes down! James is ready to get back into it! Fenix is up again and gets rocked with a forearm shot. Halford backs him into the corner, then whips him to the far side. Fenix hits chest first and Halford follows up with a devastating clothesline to the back! He backs up, and now he grabs Fenix, sitting him on the top rope. Halford is climbing up as well... my God, this could end it! Halford hooks him up - OHHHHHHH MY! WHAAAAAAM! Super backdrop suplex!! Halford hits it big, but both of them are down! Halford landed hard on the canvas, just as hard as Fenix, and now both of them are out of it!
The count is being laid down once again, and now both men are motionless. At a six count, they both begin to stir. Seven, and Halford is rolling to the ropes. It's too bad that he couldn't capitalize on this situation right away, because if he had, it may have been over. Fenix is getting up now, but Halford is somehow up first! He grabs Fenix to his feet and rocks him with a boot to the stomach. Forearm to the side of the head, and now he whips him to the ropes. Fenix comes back - ducks under a Halford clothesline, then stops dead in his tracks! Halford turns around - WHOA!! From The Ashes!! Fenix just took this one back, and he wasted no time! Halford is down and now Fenix is back up. He goes to the ropes - leaps up and springs off... Fenix Twist! He connects! And the cover - one, two, three! Fenix takes it home!
Winner: Troy Fenix
Post match, Fenix shook the limp hand of the still motionless Halford before he even had his hand raised by the referee! He then kicked the body of James out of the ring before he was announced the winner. Halford was helped to the back, while Fenix continued to celebrate before exiting as well.

Round One
Omega -vs- Jonathan Collins
Both men made their entrances, with Jonathan Collins taking the cake for the warmest reception of the night. Only two times has the crowd been this loud before: when Bobby Skylark defeated Troy Fenix last month, and when John Iley made his in-ring debut. Collins brings a lot to the table, and the crowd knows it. Omega wasn't accepted too well, with most of the crowd unfamiliar with him, and also a little creeped out. Nonetheless, both men shook hands and got ready for action!
Collar and elbow in the center, Collins gains quick control with a go-behind waistlock. Quick reversal from Omega, but Collins just as quickly spins it around once more, then slaps on a side headlock. Into a front chancery from Collins, but Omega grabs his leg. Jon's on one foot here, but he's also still got Omega's head locked. Dragon screw legwhip from Omega, but Collins retains the front facelock! Almost an inverted Dragon sleeper here, with Collins continuing to work the submission hold from his back. Omega plants his feet, but can't get back up completely as of yet. He's trying to squeeze his hands underneath Jon's back - and he's doing so slowly but successfully. He's got his hands gripped now, and he lifts Jon into the air - overhead toss! The front facelock is broken, Collins hits the mat, and both men pop back up to a smattering of applause from the crowd.
A nice show of strength from Omega there, just over powering Collins. The two lock it up once again, this time Omega spins around Collins and pulls his legs out from behind. Collins hits face-first, and now Omega twists the legs up, locking on a STF submission. Collins quickly rolls to his side, making the move almost ineffective, and Omega breaks it. He stays on Collins, though, rolling him back to his stomach. He connects with a boot to the small of the back, and now he's standing on the backs of Jon's legs. He smacks him on the side and Collins' arms shoot back from the reflex, and now Omega locks him up for a surfboard submission. He's pulling Jon back - rocking back once... twice... third time's a charm! Omega extends Collins above himself in the air, torquing the spine. He quickly lets go of his arms - oh! Inverted chancery with the legs still locked! That's an unnatural way to bend! Omega has Collins trapped right in the center of the ring, and he's got nowhere to go! Hilary is calling on Jon from ringside, getting this crowd behind him. This seems to just drive Omega more, and he pulls Jon back even further! Wait, his shoulders are down! One! Two! No! Omega lets go of the hold quickly, saving himself from that pinning situation.
On the release, Collins hits chest and face-first on the canvas, but that moment of punishment is far better than staying locked in that hold. Omega gets to his feet and pulls Jonathan up, nailing a forearm to the back. Collins stumbles forward, arching his back, and now Omega hits the far ropes. He charges back - OHH! Nasty move! A spear to the back, and Collins flies out of the ring! He's getting to his feet, as Hilary comes towards him. She quickly backs away as she sees Omega charging - OHH! Twisting puh-LANCHA! Omega flattens Collins! He quickly gets up, but then grabs for his stomach, clutching at his ribs. He walks it off for a moment, while this crowd begins to warm up to him. A yank of the head and Collins is up, then rolled back into the ring. Omega clutches at himself once more, then slides in.
Up to his feet, and he pulls Collins up as well. He's backed into the corner and met with a big right forearm blast. Collins' head snaps back, but Omega pulls it back down and nails him again! Whip to the far side and Collins hits hard. He stumbles out and Omega hits the rope - bulldo... OHH! Collins turns and clotheslines Omega out of the air! He flips right over, landing on his chest! What force! Collins backs off, taking a breather while Omega pushes himself to his feet. Boot to the side of the head from Collins, now another. Omega is up, but stumbles away. Collins charges - just a running charge, sending Omega into the ropes! He hangs onto them, and Collins connects with a forearm. He nails another then whips him to the far side. Omega comes back - leg lariat from Collins! Jon pops right back up, and now he yanks Omega to his feet. Whip into the corner and Jon charges in with a cross body block in the corner! He flips over to the apron as Omega stumbles down the length of the ropes. Collins runs down the apron, jumps onto the second rope outside and springs in - twisting DDT! He plants Omega hard, but kips right back up! He spins around, letting out a yell to the crowd who are right behind him. He pulls Omega to his feet and whips him into the corner. Omega is stumbling out and Collins charges - headfirst in between Omega's legs, and he flips up his entire body! Collins pushes off the top of Omega's head and jumps onto the second rope behind him... amazing! He jumps in the air and turns around, landing on the second rope, now he leaps off - BULLET TIME!! Omega gets snapped down, and Collins covers! One! Two! Yeah! He got him!
Winner: Jonathan Collins
Collins picked that one up out of nowhere, perhaps even catching himself by surprise. After the match, Collins celebrated with Hilary in the ring. He allowed Omega the time to get to his feet, then extended his hand to him. Dr. Morgan, next to Omega, advised him to accept it, which it did. After the shake, Morgan led Omega out of the ring. Collins went around the ring slapping hands with the fans at ringside, then made his way to the back.

Round One
Chip Masters -vs- Wreck
Well, this entrance was obvious - the crowd was all over Masters, who seemed irate at them. He made his entrance first, and when he demanded they rise to show him respect, he was quickly denied by them. Stomping around the ring, angry as Hell, Masters awaited Wreck. Once the big man got inside, Masters immediately began shoving him. Wreck wrapped his left hand around the throat of Masters, not letting up until he shook his hand. Once he did, he let him go and shoved him away, waiting for the bell and the start of the match!
They come back into the center, ready to go! Wreck goes to lock up - Masters darts down into a single-leg takedown! He spins around the leg of Wreck, and he's got a spinning toe hold on him! He spins it again, then drops an elbow into the knee. Masters knew what he wanted to do, and he's going for it, all out! Masters gets back to his feet, then drives a foot into the knee of Wreck. Another, and now he's dragging Wreck towards the corner. He places his foot on the bottom turnbuckle, then steps on it to hold it into place. OH! He's just stomping on the knee! The ref is getting in there, forcing a break since Wreck is in the ropes. A good move right there. Wreck is trying to get back up, but Masters moves past the ref and grabs him by the leg, pulling him to his back again. A swift kick to the knee and now Masters spins around the leg, sandwiching Wreck's shin in between both of his legs. Masters leaps into the air - oh! He just crushed Wreck's leg in between his own knee and shin! Masters may have just taken all of Wreck's mobility away!
Wreck is rolling around, clutching his leg, but Masters comes right after him. He's not letting him rest at all; Masters wants to end this one early so he's ready for Frampton later on, who lucked out in getting a bye in the first round. Masters once again pulls Wreck to the center of the ring on his back. He's holding his leg up, just taunting Wreck. The big man sits up and lunges at him - OH! That's what Masters wanted; as soon as he sat up, The Chipper kicked him in the top of the head! Wreck flies back, and now Masters moves on; he went from taking out his leg to inhibit his walking abilities to working over the rest of the man, to wear him out completely. Once again, brilliant wrestling from Chip Masters. Another stomp to the head, and now Chip backs towards the ropes. A light bounce off of them and he comes forward - driving elbow into the sternum! Wreck sits up, but Masters throws him back down, covering for a two count.
"The American Champion" is pulling him up to his feet now. Wreck is limping, barely putting any weight on that leg at all! Masters shoves him into the corner with no respect for the man at all - oh! And he slaps him across the face! Wreck's head snaps to the side, but he's slowly turning it back.. he's pissed! Masters is backing off, and Wreck moves forward - oh! He just collapsed to a knee! He tried walking towards Chip, but couldn't put any pressure on that leg! Masters grins wide and charges - dropkick to the head! Wreck flies into the corner and now Chip grabs that leg again, rolling to the outside. He twists Wreck around and lifts the leg high - WHAM! Down on the edge of the canvas. Wreck lets out a scream and reaches for it - Masters forearms him in the face, knocking him back down. Masters backs up now... he charges forward - man! Just a straight kick to the side of Wreck's knee! Relentless and brutal attack!
Masters rolls back in, and he's just basking in his handy work. He just slaps Wreck on the back of the head as he clutches his knee! Again! He swings once more - WHAT THE!?!? Wreck grabs his arm and BITES HIM!! What a freakin' animal! The crowd loved that one, but Chip and the referee did not! Masters backs off, looking at his arm in disbelief, while the referee warns Wreck about that last move. He's trying to pull himself to his feet using the ropes and Masters charges at him - shoulder block into the corner! Wreck hits awkwardly, and Masters picks up that injured leg. He's dragging Wreck into the center, forcing him again to stand on one leg. He's taunting Wreck now! Wreck swings for a slap - Masters ducks it, and he sweeps the other leg out! He rolls Wreck over - STF... oh! Wreck's Seein' Stars & Stripes! Just like that, Masters has Wreck locked up! He's in the center - and he quickly, and wisely, gives it up before more damage can be done.
Winner: Chip Masters
After the match, Masters sat back in a corner, watching Wreck on the mat. He seemed to be growing impatient as the big man tried to get to his feet. Masters yelled to the ref to make Wreck come over and shake his hand, knowing full well that he wouldn't be able to walk over to him. Masters stood with his hand extended while the referee helped Wreck over to Masters. Wreck shook his hand, perhaps a little too hard! Masters tried breaking the grip a few times, but Wreck just kept squeezing. Finally, the ref was forced to pry Wreck's hand away, allowing Masters the chance to get out of the ring and prepare for his second match later on, that one against Joshua Frampton.

Round One
Alex Hudson -vs- Stevie Erickson
Two newcomers here in PWG getting the chance to prove themselves to a very receptive crowd. Neither man endeared themselves to the crowd whatsoever. After the handshake, they separated for the bell to sound.
Erickson is ready to lock up here... wait... Hudson puts his hands up to stop him? He's talking to Erickson in the center of the ring. Erickson must like what he hears - he's smiling at Hudson! The two men turn to opposite sides of the crowd... they're telling the crowd to kiss their, uh, behinds, to put it nicely. And now they're leaving?! They're leaving the ring together! Hudson holds the rope open for Erickson, who exits to the floor. He's walking to the back - wait, Hudson jumps to the top rope! Erickson doesn't see him! He leaps off - OHH! Flying attack on Erickson, from behind! Erickson hits the ground hard, and Hudson crashes right on top of him! He made a deal, then broke it right there! "Princess" Candace looks on with a smile, applauding her man.
Hudson pulls Erickson back to his feet and rolls him inside. He reenters as well, getting up and quickly landing a knee to the shoulder of Stevie. Back to his feet, and now a driving forearm to the side of his head. Erickson is on his back now, but Hudson gets up and plays to the crowd. Not smart, Alex - he's not that badly beaten just yet! Hudson turns back to Stevie, pulling him up to his feet. Forearm blow, and now a knife edge chop! Uh oh! That one just angered Stevie, and he rocks Hudson with a chop of his own! Another, and a third quickly follows! Forearm shot, now a boot to the ribs. Another chop, and a forearm! Boot to the ribs, chop to the chest! Forearm, and now Stevie whips him to the far side. He backs off of the near ropes and charges towards the center... high elbow to the top of Hudson's head! He collides hard with him, and Alex hits the canvas. Alex rolls up to his feet quickly, but gets nabbed by the hair and feels the effects of another forearm shot. The ref warns Erickson of the hair pull, and he releases his grip; but Hudson uses that moment to drive a knee to the stomach!
Erickson doubles over and Hudson quickly throws him right out to the arena floor. He's shaking off the effects of those repeated blows from Erickson, keeping an eye on him outside. Hudson with another shot, then he shoves Stevie into the corner. Knife edge chop! Whip to the far side, another reversal from Erickson. Hudson leaps in the corner, but Erickson runs underneath him. Erickson is wobbling, and now a back legsweep brings him down! Hudson is back up... he's hooking up the legs - Bona Fide Prodigy! He's got Erickson locked up, and he's not going anywhere! There it is - he gives it up!
Winner: Alex Hudson
After the match, Hudson let go of the hold and allowed Erickson to get to his feet. He shook his hand, and then Stevie patted him on the back before leaving. Hudson noticed the crowd not responding well to him, so he ducked out and made his exit as well.

Round One
Shawn Braxton -vs- Adam Jenkins
Adam Jenkins was out first, and made the rounds on the floor. He slapped hands with every ringside fan before getting into the ring. Once there, he climbed the ropes and raised his arms to the crowd, while Shawn "The Beauty" Braxton made his way out. The crowd gave the opposite reaction to Braxton than they did for Jenkins. Braxton, however, didn't let it phase him; he taunted the crowd with a cocky grin on his face before getting inside. The two shook hands, Braxton still grinning huge, and got started.
They're in the center and lock it... no, Braxton side steps Jenkins, and he's strutting around the ring! What a ham! Jenkins doesn't look too amused - he wants to get this one underway! Braxton comes back to the center now, ready to lock it up again. Again, he side steps, and he walks right to the ropes, climbing up and taunting the crowd once again. Jenkins looks a little angry now. Braxton hops back inside... okay, he just assured Jenkins that they'd get going for real this time. Here we go! Collar and el... Braxton backs off and runs his hands along the side of his head, then starts strutting once more! Such arrogance! Jenkins has had enough! He comes up from behind Braxton - cross face! He snaps him down into a Crippler Crossface! Braxton is screaming in pain, but he quickly shoots his legs out to the ropes.
Braxton gets up quickly, as does Jenkins. Shawn comes forward - he shoves Jenkins! And Jenkins replies with one of his own! Another shove, and Jenkins shoves him twice as hard! Shawn comes back - oh! He just slapped him across the face! And Jenkins tackles him to the mat!! He floats over him - cross arm breaker! Braxton once again gets to the ropes quickly, and he looks pretty angry right now. Jenkins lifts him up for a spinebuster - OHH! And drops him right across his knee! Braxton flips over onto his stomach - Fujiwara armbar! Jenkins is relentless, he's letting his submission expertise take over Braxton!
Once again, though, Shawn is able to squirm his way to the ropes. He rolls out of the ring now, but Jenkins is behind him. Shawn is running from him now, Jenkins in hot pursuit! Once around the ring, and Shawn is still running! He slides in now, and Jenkins slides in behind him - elbow drop from Shawn! NO! Jenkins knew it was coming and ducked back out! Brilliant! He tries to walk away but Jenkins grabs him by the arm... into an armbar - hammerlock... OHH! Hammerlock suplex! Braxton got spiked on the back of his head, and now he's wisely rolling to the floor.
The referee calls Jenkins to back off, and goes to check on Braxton. He appears okay, though, so this one continues. He pulls him up to his feet - oh! Uppercut from Braxton! He catches Jenkins off guard! Another! Legsweep - elbow drop! Braxton with rapid-fire moves! He gets to his feet and runs to the ropes, Jenkins getting up... high cross body block! Braxton rolls off and Jenkins is back up. Standing dropkick! Jenkins made a HUGE error in judgement letting Braxton recover, and now he's paying for it!
Shawn pulls him back up quickly and nails him with an elbow to the top of the head. A second one, and Jenkins drops to his knee. Braxton backs up - comes back with a kick to the shoulder. Three, it's over!
Winner: Shawn Braxton
Post match, the referee had to restrain Braxton from leaving the ring before the handshake. Jenkins got to his feet eventually and offered his hand to Braxton, who begrudgingly accepted. He then told Jenkins to leave the ring so he could celebrate his second round advancement, which he did to the dismay of the crowd. Braxton then left, taunting the men and flirting with the females throughout the first couple of rows.

Joshua Frampton -vs- Chip Masters
Chip Masters made his entrance first, marking the beginning of his second match of the night. He opted out of attempting to force the crowd to show him respect, looking generally peaved off right now. Perhaps he's a big angry that he's wrestling twice in one night, while Frampton is totally fresh. While waiting in the ring, seething with anger, Joshua Frampton made his entrance with Hilary Bennett by his side. Frampton's entrance was pure intensity, his focus set on Chip Masters and nothing else whatsoever. The two came together in the middle of the ring to shake, never once taking their eyes off of one another.
They shake hands, and here we go! Masters goes back... no, wait. Masters is trying to go back to his corner, but Frampton won't let go of the handshake! The ref calls for the bell - Frampton kicks Masters in the arm! Into an armbar, and Frampton snags an early advantage! Masters looks shocked, he just got one upped here! Frampton has the arm locked tight, but Masters rolls forward then to his feet, reversing the hold. Frampton winces in pain and clutches his shoulder - standing backflip! He grabs Masters' arm and twists it around once more, then into a hammerlock with a chicken wing as well! Frampton's got Masters' arms locked, but "The American Champion" quickly rushes to the corner, forcing a rope break.
Frampton lets go clean, keeping his eyes on Masters and keeping his guard up the entire time. Masters cautiously moves out of the corner, shaking off the effects of the arm holds. They lock it up in the center, and Masters goes behind quickly. Waistlock takedown from Chip, and now he floats over into a front facelock on Frampton. Frampton quickly wiggles up to his feet, but Masters still has the facelock applied. Frampton is trying to pull out of it, but Masters has a tight grip around his head and neck. Frampton swings his arm and connects with the side of Masters! Masters jolts to the side, and now Frampton nails him again. Masters applies more pressure - and he lifts a knee into the chest of Frampton! Another one! Now lifts Frampton into the air and begins spinning around! Twice, three, four... five rotations, and he lets him go! Frampton hits the mat and skids across the canvas!
He rolls into the corner holding his face, while Masters saunters over to him. He drags the youngster up to his feet, and just the way he's acting, his whole demeanor, just shows that he has no respect for this kid! He's got him to his feet and shoves him into the corner. Masters grabs a hold of the top rope and lifts his leg - he's pushing on the chin of Frampton! Not exactly a choke, just stretching the throat of Frampton way out! It's in the ropes, though, so the referee is laying down the five count. Masters lets go at four... and promptly begins again! The ref is right in there with the count, and Masters breaks it as late as possible once more. Masters receives a stern warning now... and he's arguing with the ref! Just focus, man! He lifts the boot up again - no, Frampton grabs his leg! He moves a little bit in the corner... oh! A unique move right there; Frampton hits a dragon screw leg whip, whipping Masters right into the corner!
Frampton grabs Masters by the arm and drags him into the center of the ring by it... kneedrop to the inside of his elbow! Another, and a third! Frampton sticks and pivots on that last one, applying an arm lock to Masters. He's just bending back on the elbow of Masters! Masters isn't too out of it, though, as he brings his leg up, kneeing Frampton in the side of the head. Frampton lets go quick then gets to his feet. Masters is up as well, but gets caught with a kneelift when rising. Frampton backs into the ropes and charges back - Masters blocks his clothesline with a double axe handle to the arm! Frampton spins right around and Masters catches him with a sidewalk slam! Masters covers, but only receives two. He peels Frampton back up to a sitting position, and drives a knee into his spine. He keeps it planted, and now he's pulling back on his arms! Masters quickly changes it up, wrapping the arms in a full nelson with the knee still jammed.
Frampton is trying to get out of this one, but Masters has him locked up pretty tightly. He's trying to roll to each side, but Masters isn't letting him out of the hold. I don't think he's gonna get a submission win out of this, but he's certainly wearing Frampton down. He's pulling him up to his feet... and drives another knee into the small of his back! He rips Masters to his feet... he's locking him up - T-Bone suplex! And he made sure to dump Masters not on his head, but right on that shoulder! He quickly pulls Masters up to his feet again, burrying a boot in his stomach. He drapes a leg over his neck, tossing the arms of Masters over his leg. He looks across the crowd - holds his thumb in the air, and then flips it down. He leaps - Rocker Dropper! He spikes him hard - and now into a Nagata Lock! He's got Masters locked up in the center! He's pulling on that shoulder, and Masters has nowhere to go! He's freaking out, to put it gently! He's in a serious deal of pain, but he's not giving it up! He is NOT giving up! Masters is trying to roll to the ropes, but Frampton isn't letting him budge at all! He's flailing his legs around... wait - he rolls back, and forces the move into a pin on Joshua! One - two - no!! Winner: Joshua Frampton
Post match, Frampton celebrated with Hilary in the ring. Jonathan Collins appeared at the entrance, clapping along with the rest of the crowd for Frampton's success. Masters remained passed out in the ring for quite some time, and the official ordered Frampton out of there, obviously no hand shake being administered due to Masters' condition. Masters was eventually revived in the ring, but needed assistance in getting back to the dressing rooms. His arm looked to be in bad shape and he looked out of it completely, but the crowd showed him a great deal of respect by applauding him as he made his way out of the arena.
