FEAR NOT LITTLE FLOCK

FEAR NOT LITTLE FLOCK

We are frequently reminded in God’s word to “FEAR NOT”.  We are admonished graciously many times not to worry or fear.  The trials He prepares for us to go through for our maturing are sometimes intense, fierce, and very painful. Yet each trial is for our benefit and therefore they are just as much a blessing as are the blessings He sends us that are greatly appreciated because they are bountiful blessings of good.  So the battle over the worries that come and go, we know after the trial is over that we have gained victory through Christ our Lord.  We always become victorious through Christ’s triumphant victory over death, hell and the grave.  He is the Resurrection and the Life.  We ALWAYS TRUIMPH IN HIM!

Everything we go through is a process of our learning to trust in Him and to receive the grace He is planning to impart to us following each trial as He causes our faith in Him to rise.  Yes, it is always great to receive the revelation that we go from glory to glory through every trial He brings us through.  It is a blessing to be reminded once again that all is in God’s hands and that He has brought us to a higher place IN HIM, where we are assured more than ever before: He is God over every situation and through every facet of our lives and the lives of our loved ones he has given to us.

Trials are a continual learning process, needed until we are perfected in His love.  Through the process of trials our faith in Him and our knowledge of Him is increased each time, leaning over and over again that He is God, and we are, each one of us, in the palm of His hand, and we are the apple of His eye; that He is in control of everything in our lives, the evil and the good, all purposed to mold us into “His image and likeness”.

I have recently learned that the Greek word for “image” as it is used in this Word pertains to God’s masculine gender (His image in our spirit).  And that the Greek word for “likeness” as it is used here in His Word, pertains to His feminine roll in the realm of our soul (in our will, mind and emotions).  God made us in His image and in His likeness, both.  We can rest in the fact that His work is finished on behalf of every creature.  He is in full control of molding us and forming us into His image and likeness, in spirit and also in the realm of our will, thoughts and emotions.

It is overwhelming to know that Jesus bore all of our trials, everyone’s, on the cross and overcame them for us.  And the most powerfully gracious words that were ever uttered were spoken by Him on the cross when He interceded for us with His Father in Heaven as He cried out to Him:  “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do!”  And more overwhelming is the fact that while we were yet dead in sin God raised us up into heaven with Christ when He raised Him into the heavenlies to sit with Him on His throne.  Think of it:  While we were yet dead in sin, God did this for us and for every creature He made, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and Christ died for ALL.

His word leaves no room for us to worry and fear, for He is in control of everything.  When trials and temptations occur we are tempted to worry or fear over things but it is all because we are not yet perfected in His love.  Through the trials we come to know Him more each time and to know Him is to love Him. We do not know Him well enough, yet, to be ever conscious of the fact that we need never worry or fear.  But through the trials we are reminded again, He is God, He made us, He subjected us to vanity, He sent us His Son to reconcile us back unto Himself, His work is finished, His Spirit is at work in each creature to transform us into His image and likeness, His word says He saves to the uttermost, there is nothing too hard for Him, there is no creature beyond His saving grace to perform His finished work in by His saving grace, by the cross of His Son, Jesus, who cried out to Him, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do,” as He died there on the cross for ALL and then arose again; that He was sent to do this for all God’s creatures so that our heavenly Father raised us all up with His Son when He raised us up together with Christ, Jesus, into the heavenlies to sit with Him on the throne, forever and ever.  Amen

Think on these things.  Keeping our eye single upon Him and what He did for us, where we all are in Him, that we are His workmanship created IN Christ unto good works, that He is God.  His word will never return unto Him void.  It will all accomplish that which He has sent it to do.  Nothing is too hard for Him.  There is a lot that we feel is too hard for us to bear – but it has been sent to us by Him.  This is truth.  And He knows why He sends what He sends.  One thing we can be sure of: that He sends it for our own good, that ultimately it will work out in our lives to obtain His grace in all facets of our lives to rise above all; to be wholly back into His loving and most merciful arms of grace to live forever IN HIM without sin, whole and complete IN HIM, perfect and entire and wanting nothing

And look at these things as already finished by Him, because His word says they are!  His work is finished and He saw that it was good! So He is resting in His finished work.  And there is a place prepared for the children of God; we are to enter into His rest with Him, now, by faith.  And I believe the more we are conscious of His work of creation, in making us in His image and likeness, is realized, the more secure will we be at rest IN Him, with Him, in His resting place, now.

I Trust God will continue His blessed work within you and all your loved ones and that His word will continually keep your mind and heart in peace and rest IN Him.  I know He will keep you.  And His perfect plan for you and yours is transpiring and will translate you into His perfect image and likeness.

“Fear not little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Luke 12:32
