| Hey. What's up? So, this is the "about me" page. Well then, let me go ahead and talk about myself. |
| What's my name?: My name is Suzette. My friends call me Suzy, Suzy Q...whatever.. Where am I from? I'm from San Juan, Puerto Rico. And yes, I still live in PR. Where did I go to school? For college I went to University of Maryland-College Park and have a BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice. My lovely diploma is still in the tough, cylinder tube it came in and it's sleeping comfortably in one of the kitchen drawers :). Then, I attended the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico for my MA in Criminal Justice. That diploma is actually collecting dust inside my closet :) Did I take art/drawing classes? Apart from the art classes in high school, I've only ever taken 2 art courses. One course was over the summer when I was about 12 years old I guess... I hated it because they were on saturdays and being stuck in a classroom is the last place you want to be at that age over the summer. The other course was in college. I needed credits and it was either take the basic art class with a friend or take archery at 8am on fridays. I'm no pro and I don't pretend to be. It's just a hobby and I draw whenever I feel like it. |

| Most of the sketches/drawings are from art classes I've taken. The college art class was interesting. The first day I chose to sit at an easel that was more to the side of things. No one in the class really changed seats, so that's why the model drawings are all side portraits. Also, I was never too confident about drawing faces, so a side view was just right. The professor was weird. He just sort of walked around the room. I don't remember learning anything substantial from him, except maybe drawing with an eraser. In these past few years, I sort of got into a picture drawing phase. I take a picture, usually of a friend, and draw it. I usually can't just sit there and draw anything or anyone. It has to be something that I want to do or else it'll just be crap. Also, I sometimes give the drawings away. Be it for a birthday or just because I was thinking about that person, I'll give it to them. I wasn't going to do this "website" thing. I initially scanned and took pictures of my drawings because some of them have been in storage for so long that they are damaged by humidity and what not. I was just going to save the files on a cd, but then this came up and I wanted to see how it would turn out. Why not, right? Well, I guess that's that. |
