Is it possible to summarize years and years of your life and the essence of who you are in 500 words or less? I don't think so. But I'll give it a try. Here's a quick run-down:

  • I talk about my sister and brother a lot. I used to live with them in the D.C. metro area but have now wandered off on my own to New York and left the little ducklings behind. I miss those little boogers, though they drive me absolutely insane when I’m with them. But I honestly don't know where I'd be if it weren't for them.

  • I often refer to my best friends - Michelle (from childhood) and Olive (my best friend from college). I also refer to a group of zany girls nicknamed the Rice Girls which include Olive, BaeWhack, Jo, Jude, and Kramer. I couldn't ask for better friends.

  • I am the eternal nomad. I’ve moved around a lot—practically every 2 years since the day I was born. Some of those places include Ulsan (South Korea), Sacramento (California), Baltimore (Maryland), Rapid City (South Dakota), Richmond (Virginia), Williamsburg (Virginia), and a bunch of places in between. Currently my parents reside in El Paso, Texas. I see them once a year if I’m lucky.

  • I’m a devout Christian who loves the Lord with her whole heart. He is the reason for my life.

  • I graduated with a marketing degree from William and Mary, anticipating a very successful and promising career in advertising. But times change and so do ambitions. Most of my free time (after the daily 9 - 5 gruel) is spent writing songs, recording, and promoting music.

  • This is a quick reference to some of my favorite musical artists who serve as inspiration for my own music (I'm shamelessly obsessed with all of them):

  • Because I've approached my mid-twenties, my parents (still living in the colonial days of their youth) think I'm overdue for marriage and haggle me all the time about it. If there are any potential candidates out there, my father will hunt you down, find you, and in good old exaggerated form, tell you what an incredible daughter he has. Then to your dismay, you'll discover it's just me. So beware of an adorable Korean man in his mid-fifties who stands at 5'8" with small eyes and round nose if he approaches you with the prospect of a good wife. Lies, I tell you. All lies.

  • I have some very odd habits and traits: I'm constantly rubbing the corner of my pillow case (which explains the tiny bump I have on my left finger). I have this insatiable addiction to carbs (which explains the child-bearing hips and thighs). I have very vivid dreams almost every night (which is partly why I'm an insomniac). I have an eight inch scar on my left leg from a skiing accident back in ’98 (which is why I don’t wear shorts/skirts). I love butter popcorn flavored JellyBellies (which disgusts most of my friends and apparently 99.9% of the population). I use a lot of parentheses (this is pretty self-explanatory).

  • Don’t be surprised if my entries are filled with sarcasm, sincerity, curiosity, sappiness, melancholy, complexity, frustration, gratitude, a bit of humor and sheer stupidity — all at once. I like a little variety.

Any additional information which is pertinent will probably be addressed sometime and somewhere along this site. So keep an eye out. If you're really curious, you can always email me. I love email (although I apologize ahead of time if my replies are not prompt).

Wow. I think I just made the 500 word limit.
