I absolutely love Hubertus autos.I could not do a switchblade site without giving them a page. How many products can you find in this modern world that are pretty much hand made, and as good of quality of things made 80 years ago. You can buy one of these knives, and with reasonable care, use it every day for years and pass it on to your son or daughter. ( My daughter is cool, she likes switchblades) I honestly don't know how many of these I have, but it is a bunch. The first photo below is a 1989 special issue knife celebrating the right of Berlin citizens to own and carry knives again. They had not been allowed to do so since WWII. It is an 11cm stag with special etch, and only 100 pieces were made. Next is a pair of special 1998 knives that have a auto blade, a second manual clip point, and a saw. The second is one of the scale release knives from a few years back. The third is a 12 cm spearpoint in white micarta, and the fourth is a 9cm stag, or sometimes called the cigar pattern. The feature photo is a series that Hubertus did in about 1991 in red, green, grey, and blue bone, and smooth and jigged finishes, in 8cm,10cm and 11cm sizes. They only made about 60 of each knife. From that series, a few 10cm and 11cm are pictured here. Earlier this year, Hubertus issued the Guardian swing guard. Many of us have been wanting an auto version of the Puma Medici for years. Thank you Hubertus, the Guardian will do. They are all exceptionally fine knives. Click on the button at the bottom of this page for instructions on how to install Hubertus springs and remove broken ones. |
