After the repossession of his truck and all his earthly belongings, Alex must postpone his long-awaited journey to Seattle and the beginning of his new life.  He is forced to stay in Memphis and take odd jobs, reconcile the relationship with his ex-girlfriend and combat the off-the-wall antics of his inane roommates... while ultimately looking for a way out.      Alex searches for direction... and instead finds distraction in the comfort and arms of a free-spirited and beautiful flight attendant named Vanessa.  He is confused about where his life is headed and after searching everywhere for the right answer he finds that the only place left to look is inside.      Set in Memphis, Tennessee against a backdrop of the Mississippi River, The Big Muddy is a surprising comedy about friendship, change, growing up and taking responsibility along the way.
